rowanskysmom (862.8 days ago) I live in Florida and there are days when we have to wear winter jackets. It`s gets really cold in January here. I think the main reason everything is cancelled in the south when it snows is partially because nobody has snow tires and it`s dangerous. Although it hasn`t snowed here for many years.
brendalee (863.2 days ago) Yeah, it didn`t feel cold to hubs and I, because like I said we`re used to Wisconsin winters so 30 degrees is pretty warm to us lol I keep forgeting that Raelyn is only accustomed to the weather down here. It was SO hilarious watching the locals though when it snowed the few times that it did....there was literally 1/4 of an inch of snow on the ground and EVERYONE freaked out and all the schools we`re cancelled LOL We we`re like `So....? This is what we get on a daily basis in a matter of 30 minutes`.
abbyquiet (863.2 days ago) i was living in nc a few years ago, near smithfield/selma area and got snow a few times. it can get pretty cold. i also spent time in jacksonville area, which is a bit more south, and though we never got snow down there, it still got pretty cold.
Carolinagirls (863.2 days ago) NC still gets pretty cold. I`d say a light jacket most of the winter/or sweatshirt but there will be days that you will need something heavy. Unfortunately, sometimes you just never know :)
