absoluties (862.8 days ago) well, he was sick with a virus he caught at a play place, but he`s fine it`s been 2 weeks, doctor checked. 2 molars came in last month, and no sign of new ones. He plays all the time, and is doing great! except this sleep issue. To all of you who commented on the crying, this is not normal crying, it`s screaming in fear, and loosing his breath within a minute, then choking. i know all his screams and fussing, this one`s different and sad :( Thanks you girls so much!
soon2be3 (862.8 days ago) Could he possibly have an ear infection? I know when my little ones have trouble going to sleep or wake up more than normal in the middle of the night, they usually have an ear infection.
natalie75 (862.9 days ago) The exact same thing happened here a month ago. I used to put him in bed at 7:30 and he would roll over aver go to sleep untill 7:30. No he screams. I changed his room around, that didn`t help. I now have it that I can put him in bed and sit on the floor beside the crib and read him a book. He usually is sleeping by the end. I know it isn`t his teeth because he has them all.
mikey and cjs mommy (862.9 days ago) also, my son just had his two top molars come in....then shortly after that his two bottom ones....and now his two bottom `vampire` teeth are coming in and those have kinda thrown him outta wack a little bit....since they are about the same age....maybe thats whats going on with yours?
mikey and cjs mommy (862.9 days ago) my son is 17 months and has always been this way for bedtime. Our routine is him FIRST falling asleep on us and then us putting him in his room. I know they say that with toddlers their schedules will cjange constantly until school age....so it could just be that, or it could be that your so close to the end of your pregnancy and he can feel it. Toddlers and infants are very intuned with mommy and daddy and he may be sensing he wont have you all to him self any longer. My 17month old LOVES kissing and hugging my belly any chance he gets....but i have a feeling it wont be like that 10 weeks from now....so we will see.
kelly.m (862.9 days ago) sorry but i think your making a rod for your own back, 20 minutes is nothing to let them cry. If you keep going and picking them up thats all they will expect. I also have a 16 month old and yes hes getting rather clingly latly but when its bed tim, im sorry but its bed time..he/she will get over it if you just pursue....good luck xx
Str8 As (863 days ago) I know for me, my daughter who is 19mos went through something simular. She had molars coming in. Do you think your LO has teeth coming in too? It lasted about 2weeks and then things were back to normal. I just continued to do what we normally do with the exception of laying with her until she fell asleep. Hope things get better and congrats on the upcoming addition.
