nmck (853.3 days ago) Pooka, thanks! I forgot to mention he has a peanut allergy, so we have been told to avoid treenuts as well since they are usually processed with peanuts. We do use sunflower butter on toast and waffles...lots of good fats EditDelete
nmck (853.3 days ago) Thanks for the suggestions! Keep them coming!! Pooka, my son is still on infant formula and we are adding other supplements like carnation in addition. The reason the doctor is concerned is b/c my son is WAY below the bottom percentile line and he actually lost a little weight in the past 6 weeks. My son does not really like to eat, so we have to TRY to get him to eat. He does eat ice cream at Nana`s every day, but I do not feed it to him here. He only eats 3 oz dixie cups at her house. I will definitely try the avocado! EditDelete
adkinsrus07 (853.3 days ago) Dont fret- my 22 month old is only 22 lbs and he looks great. I try to give him good food and of course food he will acutally eat lol but I have been trying since about 19 months giving him pedia drinks or even ensure or boost to help pack on the calories and it hasnt really helped. MY PED says he is in the lowest percentild but not that it is an issue. He stil wear like 12 month size clothes lol and he is a shorty, he was born smal 6lbs but not a preemie. But, me and hubby have high metabolisms and all his bloodwork is great. Unless the PED is on your back about it...try not to worry your toddler sounds great to me. Some people are just smaller ya know. EditDelete
pooka (853.3 days ago) the walmart supplement is way more cost effective for me then pediasure or carnation. It`s only $12 a can and my older kids won`t steal it LOL EditDelete
*Summer Babies* (853.3 days ago) I use lots of healthy fats on my daughter because she is the same. Lots of cheese yogurt, ice cream (in moderation) extra butter or sour cream, Also I use Pediasure and the Carnation instant Breakfast. I perfer the Carnation to pediasure because Pediasure is SOOO Expensive!! but good luck!! EditDelete
RobinG (853.3 days ago) Pediasure :) thats what we use with Hunter and it is great ~ EditDelete
