Define `sleep`?! I`ve learned in the last 5yrs of being a mom that sleep isn`t actually necessary ~ we learn to function quite nicely without it!

I didn`t start getting a good sleep until we let our DD cry-it-out at 7months. She had been on solid foods for almost 2months and at 7months for some reason she had progressed to waking every 2hours to nurse. I was sooo fed up! CIO took less than a week and now she`s sleeping from 730pm to almost 8am most nights. I can`t tell you how much better we all feel :) It`s so worth it!

My daughter is only 11 weeks old and teething already! But even still, she sleeps through the night, she sleeps like a rock! God forbid you wake her up lol. She`s like her Mommy, she needs her 8-10 sleep period or she`s cranky! She doesn`t take a nap though and if she does it`s the 15 minute ride home from the babysitter. I`ve been blessed with a healthy happy baby that is easy to deal with. Even though I did have to start giving her a little cereal at 8 weeks of age because she was eating me out of house and home. Ever since then, it`s been a smooth ride. Good luck!

In my opinion, good sleepers are trained, not born. And I did not have to let my son CIO to get him to be a good sleeper. But we started working toward it the day he came home! He slept 6 hours within a couple weeks, and was up to 8 hours by 2 months. Good luck, it will happen!

I slept through the night ever since my DD has been a week old. She just started doing it one night and it has been great because we both wake up feeling and looking great!! She is almost two now. However the last couple months she started waking up one time in the night and i put at leat one ounce rice cereal in her bottle and ever since then again peaceful nights:)

In the beginning it was rough, I was breastfeeding and was up a few times a night. Around 4 months I put her to bed around 8:30 and she normally slept through the night till 7:00am, She`s 13 months old now and is pretty much on the same schedule, doesn`t sleep past 7:30 ever..

Sleep? What is this sleep thing people keep talking about? LOL No seriously, my daughter didn`t sleep for longer than 15-20mins at a time until she was 6 months old and then she started sort of sleeping through the night. At 14 months old she still wakes up at least once some time between 11pm-3am to have a cry and a snuggle.It`s very rare that she actually sleep soundly through and entire night.

my son was sleeping through 10 hours a night at 7 weeks but started waking up some nights again and is now 9 months old.

Both of my boys slept through the night very early on and were always good at taking naps as well. I have never felt sleep deprived because of them.

Austin::and::Alexs::Momma (148.1 days ago)
It really depends on the child! My 11 month old has NEVER been a good sleeper! He`s very restless, even at 11 months old! And has NEVER slept 12 hours straight! (:

OMG honey not that long lol! My twin giriles were sleeping 12 hour uninterrupted nights at 7 weeks old. And from 4-7 weeks, they were pulling off a good 8-10 hours. They have not woke me up once since 7 weeks of age, not even through teething :o)

  4. Tantrums!!! - So my 18 months old is giving me a really hard time when we go back home from a stroll. He demands to hold the keys and to open the door even though he can`t reach the door. When I show him it`s too high and mommy needs to open it, he gets so mad, lays flat on the floor and for the past few days, I end up dragging him upstairs, while he is making a scene till we enter our apartment. I tried telling him that if he doesn`t stop I just walk upstairs alone but it doesn`t help. Any advice?

  9. Would you dye your wedding shoes?... I know this is probably dumb but I have shoes that I wore in my wedding that are sitting in a box in my closet.They are really comfy strappy heeled sandals. My bridesmaids wore the same shoes but theirs were dyed red to match their dresses. Some of them actually still wear theirs! Well, mine are white and I don`t care too much to wear white shoes anymore. It kinda makes me sad to think about dying them but they just aren`t getting any use! So, how would you feel?!?!
  10. Has anyone gotten pregnant after you had your tubes tied?
