nmck (847.3 days ago) Tear colored paper up and glue it to other papers to make a picture... Or squirt glue on a paper in a shape and have the kids stick noodles or cotton to it....decorating cupcakes or cookies...
graciesmomma (847.3 days ago) My DD and I used to spend hours doing crafts with construction paper. I would cut out different shapes in all colors and she would make designs on a large piece by gluing them on with the glue stick. She could then color them if she wanted to--or just leave them. It was a fun way to spend time together and get creative!
thumper (847.4 days ago) my son whos coming up for 2 likes to help mummy bake cakes
ADDISYNS~MUM (847.5 days ago) wow... i just re-read my post... im meant to say babysitting... NOT babysitty! lol ooppss
tto (847.5 days ago) Lots of good ideas so far- just remember with kids that age, it`s more fun just to focus on the process of the craft, rather than a nice cutesy end product. They`ll be able to glue stuff, do free style painting and coloring. The four year old should be able to cut- but not likely well on the line, unless he/she has practiced. You could also do some stringing beads type activities. Michaels ought to have some good christmas projects out.
ADDISYNS~MUM (847.5 days ago) thank you all!!! these are great ideas!!!
MichelleMc(pink!) (847.5 days ago) Draw the outline of a sheep on a piece of construction paper and let the kids glue cotton balls inside it for the sheep`s wool. You could buy those plastic googly eyes for them to glue on, too. Not sure if this ideas would be good for the 2-year-old, though, but maybe! :)
Str8 As (847.5 days ago) paint, draw on the chalk board or outside if the weather is ncie, color, draw pictures, make things for the upcoming holidays (a turkey using their hands as the `fan` and a Christmas tree with little pieces of construction paper as the ornaments or make snow men out of cotton balls) make their own individual pizzas, make cookies, make their own play dough, make macaroni jewelry, have a movie day and pop pop corn...just a few things I do with mine
soon2be3 (847.5 days ago) Rip up colored construction paper into pieces about 2x2...don`t cut them. Then, take glue and dribble it all across the paper. Have the little ones take the different colors of ripped paper and glue them down. Totally random, but they enjoy it. You could even have them make a fall/holiday wreath by using the ripped paper and pouring the glue in the circle. Handprint trees...paint their palm with brown paint (up to the wrist). Put their hand on paper. Take red, orange, and yellow paint and have them dip their fingers in it and dab around their handprint. If you do it right, it will look like a tree...here`s a link (super cute)http://crafts.kaboose.com/fall-fingerprint-tree.html
nutnut (847.6 days ago) play dough, coloring books, even finger paint if u dont mind a mess. felt boards are great too. if its nice i would go outside and play or take a trip to a park or walk aroudn the block looking for pretty leaves to bring home to make a collage out of. =)
pc (847.6 days ago) finger paint...antything painting, work out (dance, jump around) gluing macaronni on a paper plate and make a face, coloring halloween, thanksgiving, christmas something to give as gift. At this age you`re only going to get a good 15 minutes of or so of attention per activity!
