I usually do $2. If I order from the place on the corner I only do one, ha ha! Sometimes I`ll go pick it up, but if its just me here with the kids I`ll have them bring it. And they always take a damn hour to bring it a block away! Hmmmm, maybe its b/c I only tip $1 to them, lol!

Where we live it is $3 but check your reciept, the one near me also has a delivery charge on it too~

abbyquiet, LOL I was thinking about ordering pizza for lunch. I was starving and craving cheese pizza and that got me wondering about the tip. I later changed my mind and had leftover rice n beef curry. But am glad I asked this poll coz I learned something new too. Thanx guys!

I learned something, I never knew that. I usually do pick up my pizzas, but for the last two or three times I had them deliver them...it took almost 2-3hrs for it to come, so I wish I had picked them up.....

I used to deliver pizza, and after that I ALWAYS tip 5 or 6. Our hourly pay is CRAP and the `delivary charge` doesn`t go to us, it goes to the restaurant. And how hot the pizza is has NOTHING to do with the driver...the restaturant tells you when you can take a pizza out to deliver so it sits there til you get the OK and if you live far away your food will obviously cool down.

I tip $3-$5 depending on how hot the pizza is when it arrives (going by how the outside of the box feels), how fast it arrives, and how bad the weather is. Yes, there is a delivery charge already when you order pizza, but none of the delivery charge goes to the delivery person bringing it to you.

The delivery charge is already part of the bill....should I be tipping more? I always thought that was part of it. I change depending on the size of the order.

I tip 20%. for the one medium pizza and breadsticks it is usually 3 or 4 dollars.
