schools are closing down in some places around us, hospital, clinics, dr`s offices are wearing and handing out masks. First I have ever seen this. last one is right. the flu shot is not a live virus yes the nasal one is but you dont have to get it. The flu shot is different every year the strand changes. You should read the CDC web site or your local health departmant and get some answers to your questions. It is scary and it is not all media hype it is real news reporting not tabloids.

My mom had it, and tested positive for it. She was sick for about a week and a half. It was pretty much just like the regular flu she said. As far as I know no one in the house got it, and she lives with my two brothers, my sister and her 3 month old baby. So just goes to show prevention is key.

My best friends 2mo old is sick and she had to take her to the ER, well, hey admitted her and tested her for H1N1, but it was negative! But there are some schools closed about an hour north of us due to many confirmed cases. There are also new cases in my city everyday, along with increasing H1N1 vacc clinics. The line at the one on the news was as long as the lines for Obama tickets! Freaky!

A kid in my daughters preschool class just got a positive test for it. I pulled her out of class. Even though theres a chance she could have gotten it, I don`t want to take any more risks. not with my husband gone right now, and me with a 3 year old and 4 month old.

I live in a small town in PA and right now there are several cases in the high school, middle, and elemetary. Im getting pretty worried. We still dont have vaccines offered to us. I wasnt going to get my daughter one but now i think ive changed my mind

i had it last year. This year i know about 10 people who have it. Hopefully i will escape getting it :-)

I work in a hospital and we already have many patients hospitalized with H1N1. Very scary
