loribb (845.6 days ago) She should definitely take the baby to be seen by a doctor. Her baby should have normal coloration by then. My LO had slight jaundice and it was gone by day 6. EditDelete
ilovemy2littleprinces (845.7 days ago) my son looked like a pumpkin for a month after he was born i had to take him to the dr`s once a week to get his levels checked EditDelete
ladykilla421 (845.8 days ago) If I were you Id just mention that her baby looks a little jaundiced and that to be safe she should have her/him checked out (at the very least have her call a health line, Im not sure if you have one where you are) Also if her baby is breastfed it could be breastmilk jaundice, my daughter was fairly yellow all the way up to her 6 week appointment although her bilirubin was not high enough to be concerned, my Dr attributed it to being breastfed. Str8 As (845.8 days ago) The levels peak at around 3 days after birth(no I am not a medically trained person, but all three of mine had jaundice) if left untreated or levels get too high, it can cause damage. Are the baby`s eye yellow too? Is the baby having wet and soiled diapers? I know you may not be able to answer all of those questions, bu I thought I would ask anyway. I would recommend she take the baby to the dr to get the levels checked or put her out in the sun for a while. EditDelete
