IvysMomma (844.5 days ago) I had the mirena and it gave me horrible pimples. I coulndt lose weight on it and the week after i got it out i was 10 pounds lighter and i didnt change anything else that i was doing. I feel much better now that i am on no birth control at all. I would also get random infections in random places on my body, like BIG pimples that had to be cut open and drained out. Since i took the mirena out i havent gotten one and before i had mirena i never had one either. sorry that is gross but i had to share.
munchkinsmommie (845.3 days ago) I have had it since 01/09 and love it. No issues really.
pc (845.4 days ago) I have had mine for 7 months now. Got it inserted 3 months pp. No problems with it. If there is anything specific you want to know feel free to contact me. Of the three birth control I`ve had (pill, depo, and Mirena I choose Mirena as my favorite thus far.
Dezzi (845.4 days ago) I have the Mirena, and so far I like it. just waiting for my body to get used to it (this months af is way too long, lol, but doc says it will get less and less with time). Had a little bit of cramping, but that settled down pretty quick. the placement of it could be a bit uncomfortable if you have a low pain tollorence.
soon2be3 (845.4 days ago) I have it...and am very happy with it. I had it before my 3rd baby for two years too. You do spot for a few weeks afterwards and I think it is normal to have some light cramping for a couple days. My periods are now extremely light...couple days of spotting each month. No complaints from me.
Shawnarae (845.4 days ago) I had it and it caused me to have cramping to the point where I felt i needed it removed....but that was a few years ago and i am actually thinking about trying it out again...my periods were really light and almost non exsistent....I would recommend giving it a try its nothing to have it removed if you don`t like it
rosye13 (845.4 days ago) I don`t know anything about it but this is a comment that was posted in the 2 month old baby forum today. I had just happened to have read it right before I saw this poll.
i had my iud removed today. i was in pain for the last 1,5 month. my doctor took a look at it 2 weeks after insertion and confirmed that it looked fine (in place) but couldn`t really explained why i was cramping (maybe after pregnancy) and he told me and it should go away. but after a month i told him that i`m still in pain and would like to remove it. he couldn`t find the string and neither the iud itself by doing internal ultrasound. however, external one was showing that it was there. he then send me for xray and it clearly showed that it was there. so we decided that i need a surgery to remove it. Today i had this procedure done and now i can`t fall asleep since i`m in pain. he prescribed perkaset pills. and now i have 3 holes in my belly, no birthcontrol, haven`t had sex after delivery my baby (almost 3 months now and won`t be able to have it in another 2 weeks :(). And my doc response to why this is happened to me was that after pregnancy my uterus had changed its shape. So guys good luck to all who is planning to have iud. I had it before i got pregnant the second time and i loved it (had it for 1 year). but this time it was awful and appearently i can`t have it in the future at all!.
