amber325 (844.8 days ago) I guess blanket on the floor? We use pack and play still..
3blessings (844.9 days ago) I take a pack-n-play since my 18 month old can still fit in it. But if that`s not possible to you then maybe you could buy one of those plastic bef rails and sleep next to your boy, this way you`ll be right next to him and he won`t roll off the bed. If this isn`t a good option for you then I`d suggest an air matress, or the good `ol floor!
nmck (844.9 days ago) My son is 18 months old and still uses a pack n play. He is on the small side, but my niece slept in her pack and play when she napped at my house until past the age of 2, and she was a big kid.
faith-star-x (845 days ago) you can buy toddler sleeping bags/which have edges that are raised so they dont roll of, either that or make him a regular air bed up on the floor x
faith-star-x (845 days ago) Mckenzie will sleep ANYWHERE! lol..if we are at familys, she will sleep on he sofa/floor or one of their beds, she hasnt fell out yet, i put pllows at the side of her and i always hear her when she wakes.also i always have her stroller if im out so i lay her in there 2..hope this helps.
Debra (845.2 days ago) My son is almost 2, about 32 lbs and fits fine in his pack n play. We have a newer model, but the older models seem to work just fine. We too just add a cotton mattress pad and fold it under and his a favorite crib flannel sheet to make it more comfortable.
hotpotaaaaato (845.3 days ago) I know you say no pack and play, but I think that`s the best choice. We had our daughter sleep in one even over the age of 2 on vacations. Yes, she could climb out if she wanted, and yes, she was super tall... but what kid actually sleeps stretched out head to foot? I know mine usually end up in a ball on their sides. Even if you got a bed rail, he`d still be able to climb over and off the bed.
natalie75 (845.3 days ago) Play pen. When we went on vacation this summer one hotel didn`t have anything fo babies so we took the matteress off the pull out sofa.
love.nora (845.3 days ago) Have a camp out on a air matress :D
armymom (845.3 days ago) well I`m not sure if I have a normal sized pack n play then.. I`m almost certain I do. He only has a few inches of head space when layed flat inside. Plus when I put him in there he`s so tall he can climb out without a problem. I can`t lay him in a regular bed because I don`t lay him down to bed asleep.. he puts himself to sleep so I`m afraid he`ll just get off the bed and roam the room. I`ve actually never slept WITH him because he goes to bed at 8 and I do not. lol. luvbeingamom, thanks for the link.. I`m thinking I`ll either have to go with something like that or try a blanket pallet on the floor or something. Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Pack n play is out of the question for us.. he`s become an expert on escaping it. lol
cncmom (845.4 days ago) He shouldn`t be to big to sleep in the pack n play. My son for some reason never liked to sleep in the pack n play. When we go to my in laws I sleep in the bed with my oldest son and my husband and younger son sleep in a matress on the floor. It works out well for us. My oldest son though never had a problem sleeping in the pack n play. I would try that first and if he doesn`t like that try sleeping with him in a bed or on the floor.
BrookeAmber (845.4 days ago) I think I would still use the pack and play.

RobinG (845.4 days ago) Pack n plays are big enough for children up to 3 years old, your son is most def not to big :) I always use mine when traveling and my kids are big and Hunter is 2 now. All my nephews and daycare kids used them til age 3 when traveling or here. We always bring a crib sheet, some added comfrters and place under she sheet ot make padding a bit more soft and sheet over to protect it from moving ~ that is what they are intended for :) They are intended for toddlers not just infants ~
luvbeingamom (845.4 days ago) I either lay with him or i use a bedrail. For like $20 you can get a bedrail that will travel with you and can be used on most any bed. They are great!
courtenay (845.4 days ago) on a floor i guess.. i just use a regular bed myself though
angie2008 (845.4 days ago) i lay her in a regular bed and just lay down with her. or maybe get some type of mat like they have at daycares and such that you can pack and bring with you. i have this problem too.
