Around 1, but my daughter had horrible gas and indigestion problems so it really helped her belly feel better. She actually got to the point towards the end that she would come to me and say burp if she needed me to pat her back and help her get it out :( Poor little thing. Luckily that`s gotten a lot better.

same here. I was wondering if I should feel guilty for not burping my son anymore but he just doesn`t burp for me and they usually come out on their own so I fugred he could handle it on his own now..

Hm, maybe you could try a few different techniques (although it sounds like you`ve tried a lot). If nothing helps, maybe just sit her up and let her do it on her own. When she was maybe 2 months or so I used to slowly turn my LO upside down (carefully, of course) then back upright again. That usually got a burp out pretty quickly. LOL. As long as they aren`t uncomfortable waiting a long time to get it out, it should be fine I would think. I think we burped her until maybe...4 months? But each baby is different.

about the time they started sitting up with support, then they pretty much burped on their own or didn`t burp for me anymore : )

My DD is 12 weeks old and she pretty much wont burp for us anymore no matter what we do. She`s not spitting anything back up so I`m wondering if it`s time to stop burping her. If you sit her up, she burps on her own after a while. Is it time to give it up?
