jekajoy (840.4 days ago) I made Natalie`s baby food, she didn`t care for the jar stuff from the store. At 9 months she wanted to finger feed and she had 6 teeth so we didn`t worry about the jar stuff.
Debra (840.4 days ago) my son just refused to eat anything pureed one day when he was about 10 months old- even yogurt! So I just ended up cutting up things small and anything can be finger food as long as you are prepared to clean up a mess!
Breakfast was often cheerios and banana. Lunch: bread with melted cheese or liver sausage, chopped up strawberries, grapes or oranges (or some kind of fruit). Snacks were baby cereal bisquits. Dinner: chopped meat, rice or pasta, and often mixed frozen veggies- as they were perfect to serve little people- all pre cut! He still prefers eating those veggies to most other things. He also liked sucking on steamed broccoli and soft cooked carrots.
christina76 (840.5 days ago) between 12-15 months my son didn`t want jar baby food anymore.
SarahLJ (840.5 days ago) I stopped feeding my DS jarred food when he started on table foods at 8 months old because he just plain refused to eat any foods at all that were jarred.
RobinG (840.5 days ago) My son hunter loved stage three earths best til he was about 16 months old. and the fruit was great too ~ (I personally still eat pears and peaches and so do my older two boys aged 14 and 9 ~ its no different then apple sauce IMO) I see nothing wrong with it. It is healthier then some table foods IMO ~ as long as he can chew and manage other table foods I say do it as long as he prefers it ~ food is food as long as it is nutritional :) Stage 3 is chunky too like table foods so really not much different ~
Dannie (840.5 days ago) My son would not eat veggies, so the only way to get them in him was with jarred veggies-I would always cooked veggies with his dinner in hopes he would eat it- he finally started taking a liking to them at around 18 months- so he ate jarred veggies up until then- on occasion, I will still give him jarred veggies if I am in a bind- I prefer he gets some vitamins, then none
