babydecember (839.5 days ago) I flush the wipes that are meant for adults, not babies. The adult ones say `flushable` so I assume it should be fine.
amber325 (839.7 days ago) wait...so if you cant flush tampons..WTF do you do with them>? EWWW lol I do always have and it is fine even when we go out.
Lou-Li-Ro (839.7 days ago) Yes! We knew that, but when the twins were small my SO used to flush them for `handiness` and I didn`t know this until the whole system got backed up and we had to get a whole new sewage tank!!!! He learned his lesson lol!
MelissaJoanne (840.1 days ago) cheekie - the gdiap pad breaks down, so it`s not all bulky like flushing a lady pad would be. :-p We were able to flush those when we used them, but our old plumbing wouldn`t tolerate wipe flushing, not that we tried it. It didn`t do well with tampons either.
thebigtomato (840.1 days ago) I`m not potty training yet so I`ve never had a need to flush a wipe.
nmck (840.1 days ago) Yes, I knew to never flush wipes. But the house we live in now has no bends in the sewer line. So once we flush, there is nowhere for wipes to get stuck. So my husband said it was OK to do as long as it is only one wipe per flush. We have lived here for a few years now and never had a problem. Most houses have angles in the line which is where they could get stuck.
amber325 (840.2 days ago) I flush the kirkland wipes all the time...no problems it is news to me.
abbyquiet (840.2 days ago) idk if anyone saw my poll about plunging a toilet from this weekend. but here`s a followup in case anyone is intrested... aparently the whole row of houses i live in were backed up the same way, it wasn`t just us. they came to fix it monday, well last night it gets stopped up again so i called maintenance to address the problem. they come over to fix it. and specifically ask if we tried to flush any wipes, i of course answer no, because i figure no sane person would try to flush one... isn`t that common knowlege? they have to snake the line outside, and everything. my husband comes home and i mention the comment they made about the wipes and casually ask him if he`d ever tried to flush one (since obviously i hadn`t). i figured he`d say no... but instead he avoids the question and i figure out, and eventually get him to admit that he`s done it on more than one occassion. he then gets mad at me for even bringing it up. i guess i`m just really aggrivated about the whole thing because i`m at the very end of pregnancy and have to walk up the stairs every time i need to pee all because he stuffed wipes down there. but not only that... after it happened both times he acted like i was the one who did it. like i used too much toilet paper. but secretly HE was the one flushing wipes. AHHH. men.
