MichelleMc(pink!) (839.8 days ago) How interesting! Everywhere I`ve lived trick-or-treating has always been done on the 31st itself, and I`ve never heard of it being changed to a different day ever. I can see the advantages of it being on a school night, though. :) EditDelete
nutnut (839.9 days ago) its always the 31st in our community, however places and town around us vary. some will do it the last saturday of the month or the last friday of the month or whatever. we have it at the malls as well and thats typically the last saturday of the month. i noticed when i moved to this state they have set times for trick or treat no matter what day it is like here its only from 5-8pm. growing up, and still where im from its always any time on the 31st, so it was odd for me. thinking about it, i guess its safer to have a designated time, they are good by having extra police patrolling the area as well. plus its good not to have kids knocking on your door at all hours. Str8 As (840 days ago) I don`t participate. However, it is scheduled in our area. I think it was this past Sunday. To me that makes no sense seeing it is on a Saturday this year. EditDelete
jenakers (840.1 days ago) It is always schedualed here to. It`s kind of nice to have it on a weekday. Less traffic, less rowdy teenagers (because the next day is a school day) For our family halloween is almost a month long event. We watch scarey movies every weekend of October. Listen to halloween music etc. I like my Saturdays and Sundays open so I`m glad trick or treat is tonight. EditDelete
RobinG (840.1 days ago) It just wouldnt feel right to me to have it any other day but Halloween ~ Parties etc yes but trick or treating no ~ Its always on halloween where I live, I am in upstate NY ~ EditDelete
BabyBsmomma (Joni) (840.1 days ago) Our mall always has `Malloween`..the Friday around Halloween. It`s a safe alternative trick or treating and nice for the real little kids to still be able to dress up and just go out with everyone else..each store in the mall will hand out candy. There is still regular trick or treating on the 31st too. EditDelete
