ladykilla421 (839 days ago) my LO is only 14 weeks old but she has had the odd occasion where she wakes up in the middle of night and has been changed, fed & burped but just wants to stay up. My policy is that I will not pick her up or play with her, between the hours of 11pm and 6 am she is to stay in bed with the lights off... She just lays in bed with me and giggles and russtles around and what not, I cant get to sleep when shes like that but theres no way Im going to give in to her and play with her and let her know shes keeping me up! She doesnt cry or fuss because she knows she wont be picked up or have any attention payed to her (unless of course she is sick or has a need that needs to be met) I just lay next to her silently relaxing until shes falls back asleep, thankfully it never takes more than an hour or so! angie2008 (839.5 days ago) let him/her stay in their crib and pray they go back to sleep. Or i give her a bottle. if that doesn`t work i gether up and play with her for about an hour until she is tired then i go back to sleep. EditDelete
nutnut (839.6 days ago) i would just let my daughter lay in bed wtih me. id rub her back and she usually fell back to sleep. as she got older i would ask her if the sun was up yet. if she said no, id say then we need to cuddle in bed til it does. lol now if its dark when she wakes up she tells me `but the sun not up yet` lol which unfortunatly i cant change since we need to be up by 630 to get ready for school, and its not always daylight by then lol EditDelete
nmck (839.6 days ago) I would have laid my son back down in his crib and let him fuss for a while. It happened a bunch of time, but we never start our day before 6 am! (Well....his day. I am up at 5 on work days) EditDelete
