Goldenmama37`s poll Show results | Hide results

Other-poll poll I am tired of waiting for the H1N1 vaccine! I have a 4 month old so qualify in the high risk group. I can`t believe my hospital, Cleveland Clinic, world reknown does still not have them ready to go for us. For those of you who want to get the vaccine (for yourself or your kids) what is your status?

Got it already.
Have an appt to get in the next week.
Am going to a county facility or location today, tomorrow, etc to stand in line.
I'm still waiting and am frustrated too!

The health dept here had a clinic for OB patients only and I was in and out within 10 minutes. Where my fiance works they got the nasal vaccine only which they have received no injections yet. My boss sent out a e mail from the state wanting numbers of high risk students in our district, nurses, and health aids so I guess they are trying to get them also. My kids Dr office does not have any yet and my son can not have the nasal one due to his asthma.

Hi, 3rd! If that hospital had a `secret stash,` it was probably not a U.S. hospital. The government is making it so that we have to fill out beaucoup mounds of paperwork for every H1N1 shot we give -- dose, diagnosis, and the risk factors for each patient. Talk about red tape. Our pharmacy ordered thousands for our OB patients, and we received 60 last week. 60 doses. That`s government for ya.

Got it already. The only reason is because they reserved doses for health care workers at our hospital. As for the general community, we have received limited doses. Highly unlikely that everyone who is eligible will receive it. It already hit our area anyway, so what`s the point. Too little. Too late.

I live in Utah and we have been trying for weeks! I have a 3 month old AND I work in health care and we cant find vaccinations available anywhere. We are terrified to get it and pass it to our LO. Good luck and lets hope for the best!

Thank you for your comments but I`m just looking for status of people trying to get the shot. I have ulcerative colitis and am on prednisone (makes my immune system weak and leaves me very vulnerable to pnemonia) so I am definitly getting the shot for myself and to protect my 4 month old who cannot get it.

Im not getting it either because I`m not about to let my baby be a guinea pig for some vaccine.

I don`t plan on getting it but I asked my LO`s pediatrician about it and he said they haven`t even gotten the first supply yet and they might not get it until late November.

I`m not getting it myself, but here in Saskatchewan Canada there is a big shortage. Only pregnant women and children under 6 are getting it in a week, and everyone elts won`t be able to get it for over another 2 weeks. Other provinces, however, have been getting it already, not sure why the shortage is here!
