It was at Perkin`s in Fla that me and my BF first found a hair in his food, then when I told him he could have the rest of my turkey we found like a price tag or something. They didn`t make us pay and my BF got another entree. So I called the place I got the food from before I went in. A teenager answered the phone so I asked for a manager. He says no manager is there. So I say `They just leave you guys unsupervised for hours?` (he said no manager would be back until around 5pm and it was 12:30 when I called) and he says they are okay. I was busy with getting ready for trick or treat at that time, but I`m going in there tomorrow. Oh, I told him what happened and he said to call back when a manager is there.

My mom found one in her pot pie from Perkins once and they must have had it happen a lot because they we`re doing anything to make sure she didn`t report them to health services. I`d call health services though, obviously they aren`t being careful with their food, who knows who is doing what do peoples food.

Well sounds like an accident to me and i wouldn`t freak over it. I am sure the place will be more then apologetic and give you your money back. I don`t see the big deal it wasn`t a severed finger. I def wouldn`t sue that`s just silly imo.

hahah.. I prolly would of taken it out...and continued eating :P The craziest thing I have had in a food item was a chicken beak in my mcnuggets :( GAG!

I would call the BBB or health bureau also. I think the thing that would piss me off the most, other than damn near choking on the thing, would be that the jerks won`t answer their phone! That would drive me NUTS! Especailly if you know they are there! Get `em girl!!!!

I dont think your over reacting. Because just like you mentioned your son wanting a tostada.. What if he would have got it stuck in his throat.. He is little.. I think that people in restraunts need to check their food before wrapping it and sticking it in a bag! Hope everything turns out for the best!

OMG, I just remembered something. My 6yo asked for a tostada too, but he had already got what he wanted so I told him no. I would have been ready to kill if my son would have choked on or swallowed that! I don`t think we`ll be getting anything from anywhere for a long long time. I think I`m partly pissed b/c I loved their damn tostadas! Now its ruined! :P And someone mentioned its probably ran by highschoolers, yeah, your right. Its by the mall and I only stopped there b/c we were out getting costumes and it was getting late. I wish I would have just came home and made chicken like I planned.

I`m not saying I WANT to SUE! Someone else suggested I call a lawyer thats why I asked if it was something you call one about. I was thinking more along the lines of calling the health dept. I`m sure the place will give me my money back, probably for the entire meal(especially when they see the thing, its not a regular twisty, its like an industrial one, lol! And I`m not exaggerating either!) and I`m fine with that for me. But I`m saying what can be done otherwise? And NO cheekybee, I don`t think I can be a millionaire, I think I can be a GAZILLIONAIRE, smart ass. I`ve had a lawsuit before. I got attacked and bitten by a dog when I was 7 1/2 mo pg with my second son and had my 2yo with me, in my own front yard. We ain`t get shit, not even the medical bills paid, and I had PT, tons of antibiotics, etc. So I know its not like `OH, I THINK I CAN GET RICH OFF OF A TWISTY TIE`, I wouldn`t sue unless there was a serious reason. I`m not saying its the end of the world, but I am upset. I`m just asking questions about what I should do. Like I said before, I`ve found a hair, a bug, and a price tag too, lol, but those things don`t really pose a big threat. I don`t want someone to choke and die or swallow one and have that metal tear up their intestines. I do realize shit happens. But what if theres some weirdo intentionally putting stuff in the food? I can`t get a hold of these people at the place, I`ve called several times with no answer, so I`m going in there in the morning.

Yes I would be mad to but things like this happen. Its a fast food place probably ran by teenages. I don`t think it`s something to get sue happy about..its not like you got hurt or anything its just a twisty tie. Way to many people try to sue for stupid things, we all make mistakes. Im sure you could get your money back or a free meal..

Well, you should at least get your money back. A lawyer cant do anything. You cant sue because you could have choked.

do you still have your receipt? If so, maybe they`ll give you a full refund. Probably not much more that can be done about it since you weren't hurt. I understand your frustration though!

I just called some 24/7 lawyer just to see what they would say. The guy told me to tell the place and maybe they will give me a free meal (I hung up on him)! WTH?! Like I want a meal from there! I`m even more pissed now!

I would definitly complain to the store by going in there tomorrow. See what they will do for you then, and if that isn`t OK, then I would take the issue higher up in the company.

Oh, and I put the whole box with the tostada and bread tie into a ziploc bag and put it in the fridge. I still can`t believe that happened to me! That is sooooo gross! Makes me never want any kind of FF again! Not that we eat a lot, but even as a treat! Sheesh!
