I had my membranes stripped the morning of Dec 4th 2007. I was supposed to be induced that night at 8pm. I actually started cotnracting and early labor on my own and was in labor when I got there. Had my baby the evening of Dec 5th- so YES it did get things started. I was 39 weeks.

My dr stripped my membranes and that afternoon I started having cnx`s w/ bloody show. I went to the hospital that night b/c they didn`t stop. I spent the night in l&d losing my plug and having very reg cnx`s. By 9a.m. the cnx`s fizzled out and I had only dialated to 2cm. I got sent home. The next week he did it again and nothing. I ended up getting induced about 3days later.

HAd it Tuesday in my 38th week and nothing but I was only a 1 and 50% and Dr. said he did not think it would work. Trying Cervidil tomorrow then Pitocin Tuesday. YAY! Good luck to you.
