I think everyone has a small case of hoarding. I know I find myself holding on to random things I don`t use because I think what I could one day need them for. But it`s no where close to what is on this show. What I think is kind of bad about this show is that people who are bad... maybe not that bad but bad enough...see it and think `im not that bad` and use that as their standard of bad when they really are too. I also hate the people who are there to help. Like the woman who kept the nasty food, when they were asking her what to keep and throw away. I mean hello she won`t throw any of it away don`t ask just do!

i horde things as well. its not to the point where im keeping spoiled food under the couch though. i feel bad for these people. i can really sympathize with them when they say they need to touch everything before they could let someone throw it out. ive been there before. my house is cluttered, its always been that way. i horde food, clothes, stuff other people give me. i always feel so guilty thowing something out that was given to me, no matter what shape the item is in. as far as food. i tend to over stock cubbards bc i cant pass up sales etc. but if my shelves arent packed i feel like i have no food in the house. its weird, but watching these ppl i see similarities in how i think. i hate wasting things.i hate throwing away food especially. i end up donating canned goods and non perishables to charity. its definatly harder for some people to let go of things. with me its more of `i hate to waste`, or `we might need that one day` type of thing. ive gotten alot better over the years, but i know some ppl would come to my house and say you need to get rid of shit. i just hate doing it. i have things from family who have passed away, i just cant part with. my aunt has it worse than me. you cant even walk in her house its like a little path. weve never seen what her kitchen looks like bc everything is covered with stuff. its not rotten food, its just stuff. my mother keeps things too but not as bad as my aunt. she tries to give me the things she hordes and i dont know how to say no, so it ends up in my house lol its horrible. with me and my mother though, it really ends up we have no closest space bc our closets are all full of shit we just horde. if we got rid of that stuff we could use the closets and have room for things we actually do use lol. its a cycle. its hard to stop. my aunt definatly has the worst of it though. you cant even sit on her furniture.

i love watching those shows, it makes me think `my house is spotless lol`. But its true clothes and stuff isnt that bad but people hoard like rotten meat ugghhh!
