Str8 As (833.9 days ago) Ok, I would be annoyed at first, but then I would count it all joy! Reason being, she does not seem stable, would you want to leave your child with someone like that? Take it with a grain of salt, and just be happy there was warning before the storm.
bellajenna (833.9 days ago) she sounds dumb its not up to other parents she should have never asked her b/c its none of her bizz.
RobinG (834 days ago) I am a daycare provider. It is illegal to have more then 2 under two with one provider. If this was a 3rd child under two and it was a one time thing I could see her asking the other moms to see if it was a problem just out of courtesy. But it wasnt needed and she wasnt by any means required to consult the other moms at all. I have never asked my parents if it was ok to watch a specific child. But she may have felt the need to if your daughter was the 3rd child under two. License is only required for more then 2 kids but many who are not licensed do have more then 2 kids. IMO having a license doesnt make you a better provider. That provder wasnt to swift and I`d not ever attempt to use her again.
mrsjmickens1 (834 days ago) is it technically a daycare if shes only watching 2 kids! i thought law only required a license after so many children...hmmm. ima look it up! sounds to me like the other mom doesnt want her watching more than 2 children at the same time and thats why she had to `ask her permission`...some people are just rude n inconsiderate but think tthey are the best person in the world. either confront her and get it off your chest or let it ride and know what kind of a person she is. btw. you wernt the bad guy.
kimmarie (834 days ago) If she is truly running a day care business you don`t consult with other parents to find out if it is OK. As the business owner/director it is her sole decision. However, again if it really is a `day care business` and a child that comes in without having a medical on file is a big no no. As if the state comes in as they do come and do random checks without notification the day care provider can be fined. All children are required to have a medical.
Lilmissesmum- (834.2 days ago) I have a friend who does home care and my daughter goes there with her and I will just say one thing on this. It is not up to the other parents as to whether or not the person can care for your child. Sounds like she has used it as an excuse. I would be fairly annoyed also.
leelers (834.2 days ago) So the mother of a friend of mine runs a daycare out of her home she only watches two kids right now, one being another close friends baby. I asked my friend if she thought this woman would watch my daughter for a few hours while my Mom and I got our hair done. She said I`m sure she would and gave me her number, I called and asked her she said no problem, she would love to watch her. I told her I would drop her off at 10:30 this morning and she said she would call me if there were any issues with the other child`s mother that night. I didn`t hear anything from her so I assumed everything was still ok, I literally pull into her driveway and she calls me saying she has a huge problem, the other woman she sits for freaked out when she mentioned it to her and told me she couldn`t keep her. She tells me she didn`t call this other woman until right before I got there! I`m upset because not only did she totally flake on me, but she went and told my friend that I showed up an hour late and all this other untrue crap, making me look like I`m the bitch (I was 10 mins late!) I have been fuming all day about this! This woman has seriously said a dozen times she would love to watch our daughter if we want to do anything just let her know. I just don`t understand why she would tell me she would watch her if she even thought that it would be a problem with the other mom, and then not even check with her, and yet I`m still the bad guy! Ugggghhh!!! Sorry for going on and on, I just had to vent! :)
