tto (830.6 days ago) Absolutely! They love to help! It is actually a blessing to others to allow them to help someone. It robs them of joy when people refuse to allow others to help them- it`s a way of expressing a Godly love.
mommy2bejune6-8-08 (830.9 days ago) the church I go to provides help for families and I know I can go to my church leaders for help anytime
nutnut (831.1 days ago) i would personally feel weird going to the church for help. when i hit hard times i was referred to the church food bank in my area. i didnt use it. for one, i didnt want to take what i didnt need if i could get help from my family (which i did). but the other reason is, im not a devout catholic so going to the church just seemed wrong to me on a personal moral level. while i really do understand the church is there to help all kinds of people of any faith, and i would not look down on others for seeking help, i just felt really guilty thinking about getting food from there. i donate food all through winter now to different churches, but i would still feel really weird.
Str8 As (831.1 days ago) holly, I agree. The church is supposed to be there for anyone who needs help. The church I belonged to served lunch and provided clothing for whoever needed it. I did not make this poll to judge anyone or anything of that sort. I was just curious to see if a person who says there is no God or Jesus is not real, if they would go to the church for help. No condemnation!!
ibaheir2dathrone (831.1 days ago) I see why you would ask this. I was our OutReach Ministry Leader at our old church (before we moved) We voulenteered at a homeless shelter and helped every walk of life you could think of. They didn``t care who helped them they just wanted help. So I would say a lot of people don`t care about what your dressed up as (Minister, Salvation Army, Lion`s Club, Elk, Church etc.) as lng as you give them what they need/want they will take it. As for me, I didn`t care if they shared my faith or not. (I knew I was planting the seed of Life in every person I helped.) :o)
hollysnum2 (831.1 days ago) I am a believer, but I have volunteered at food banks and helped with churchs helping the less fortunate. I dont think it matters if you are a believer or not. The churchs help anyone who needs it, regardless of their beliefs, because it is the right thing to do, not because someone thinks differently. At least that is the way it is supposed to be.
