My sister did til she was 12 and her thumb looks fine but she has no thumb print lol Like literally, shes 21 now and when they fingerprinted her for a job, they couldnt get a thumb one hahah

my cousin has a flat thumb in comparison to her other thumb, but it is a WHOLE thumb not a stump...

False. I can`t even imagine how someone could suck their thumb that hard for so long that the blood vessels constrict to the point that the thumb tissue becomes necrotic. That would be too painful. I`d say the worst side effect would be pruny skin and social embarrassment.

I would say false. I sucked my thumb till I was around 8 or so and my thumb is normal looking.

My little sisters is not to bad but it is shorter and more wide than her other thumb. She is only 10 as of now. She really doesnt like to suck on her thumb and has been wanting to stop but it ends up in her mouth while she sleeps. It also sometimes gets chapped just like your lips.

my cousins thumb is mishappen bc of her sucking it her whole life, however its not a stump. ive never heard of that happening sorry

I have a friend the same age as me (24) who has sucked her thumb since she was a baby and she still sucks it and her thumb is normal

WTF? I left a comment and it isn`t here. I personally know someone who sucked his thumb until he was 16 and his thumb is just fine.
