babydecember (831.8 days ago) Don`t take a bath when you`re pregnant or the baby will drown.
blondie9504 (831.8 days ago) I`ve heard that you rub whiskey on a baby`s gums to help with teething pain. My parents did that with me and their parents did that with them and I did that to myself when my wisdom teeth were comming in lol. I doubt I`ll even consider it with my daughter though. She`s teething now and so far, it`s barable.
5against1 (831.8 days ago) my MIL used to tell me I need to tape a quarter to my newborns belly button after the cord falls off to prevent an outie belly button.
jenakers (831.8 days ago) Alcohol for a baby? Maybe THAT`S what happened to our parents.
rosye13 (831.9 days ago) Something about wiping their diapers on their face when they`re newborns to avoid baby acne. I actually heard that on this website . . . I think I`ll just let them have baby acne. :)
RobinG (831.9 days ago) Yeah ~ agreed on ones below ~ there is also something about shaving a baby`s hair off too so it grows back a certain way, cant recall details and flipping a baby over to get them to sleep all night.
shivon (832.2 days ago) gosh about the cereal and alcohol!iv heard of dipping dummy into wine but these things can ruin the liver and cereal-babys stomace is so tiny still.iv also heard of people not wanting there baby to become `fat` so they watch what food they give them like not to over feed them and the child was skinny and needed the food, crazy world!
EandTsmum (832.2 days ago) ladobruk I`ve heard the other ones but alcohol??? are you serious? That`s just plain nuts and downright dangerous. I got told by my MIL not to put my hands over my head while pregnant cos the cord will wrap around babys neck. She also told me not to stand my twins on their legs, when they clearly wanted too, because it would cause them to be bowlegged, she told me to wake them during then nights for a feed because a four month old was way to young to go 7 hours overnight without a feed. It used to infuriate me because my hubby believed her crap.
honghuzhenni (832.2 days ago) Haha, that`s true. I heard one that you bite a baby`s nails the first time to prevent them from stealing. After that you can clip them. LOL
