My son is still in a crib at 2 :-) I will be moving him soon (by 25 months). He is starting to put his legs up like he will climb over. Very sad, he is trouble and i was hoping to keep him in their longer if possible :-). My first son tranistioned around 26 months. it was easy. He helped set up his new bed, and was excited to be in a good boy bed.

My son moved to a twin size bed when he was around a year and a half. He fell on the floor twice I think but then never had any other problems.

Both of my kids were in toddler beds at about a year to a year and a half. You dont want to wait until they start climbing out of their cribs ! Lol the only transition problem i had was them getting out if they didnt want to go to sleep but that didnt last too long.

my daughter is 13months and had been in a regular bed for the last 2-3months, she has a bed rail on and sleeps absolutley fine, had no transition problems, she still has the same routine and goes straight to sleep without any messing.
