What would you do: i am working a job now making 10.31hr working 3 to 11pm, getting home with daughter and 12:30am her getting a second wind and staying up til 2 or 3am then waking up still @ 9am. Driving 30 min to work each day and sometimes longer going home depends on the day if i have to go get daisy. i get a job offer for only 8.50 hr hours 7am to 3pm flexable hours btw. working everyother weekend with choice of days off during the week. only 10 minish from home. daisy will be home for a normal evening of dinner play bathtime and a decent bed time. Would you leave the good money job for the less money job just to have a normal life????? (Other poll by daydays mom, 833 days ago)

Khloes Mommy (831.8 days ago) I did. Actually I was making 19.85 an hour working 40 hrs a week but they were late nights and my hours changed every day/week. Plus it was an hour to an hour & half drive each way. I now work only about 15 mins away, just under 15 an hour, and only 25-30 hours a week. It sometimes gets tight financially but it`s worth it to me, I am home by 930am every morning except weekends & I have seen all my daughters firsts :)
Str8 As (832.5 days ago) Sometimes we have to make sacrifices. Yes you will be making almost $2.00 less, but you can still pay the bill and your baby will not be affected too much. Also factor in less taxes being taken out, commuting and the hours. Keep in mind this is only temporary until she gets a little older. I tell you, I am at the job that I am at because I can work from home and go in once a week for a few hrs. The pay is not all that, but I do what I have to do...it is a financial sacrifice because I know I can make soooo much more, but my children/hubby comes first so..do what you feel is best for you and your family. Everything will work out, you will see.
3blessings (832.7 days ago) I chose yes, but it kinda depends on your financial situation. If you can afford to take the pay cut and still be comfortable, then I say go for it. But if you will be short or just cutting it close than I wouldn`t do it! Yea, the hours suck, but she won`t remember it because she`s so young still. Good luck girl
angie2008 (832.7 days ago) if you can, take the lower paying job and keep looking for something better. Having your dd on a routine and being able to do bedtime is better in my opinion. And you wouldn`t have to be far from her so if something ever happened you could be right there.
nutnut (832.7 days ago) it really depends on what you need more. do you need the money more, or do you need the sleep more. personally if i could afford it, even if it meant i needed to sacrafice small luxeries, i would take the job close to home, more flexible, lower pay. gas money is something to think about, daycare, etc. it might actually work out in the end being more money in your bank account at the end of the week with the lower paying job ironically =)) good luck
RobinG (832.8 days ago) If I didnt have a child hard to say but with a child no `good job` would be considered a better option over a healthy sleep pattern typical of `normal` sleeping hours for my child. `Normal life` would be far more important then the added money. I`d find other ways to make the added money or just cut back ~ we live pay check to pay check and while it isnt fun at times thereis no way I`d work crazy hours for more money if it would mean my kids would also have to live by crazy hours too. Make sense? Hope this helps ~ I say take the offer!!
luvbeingamom (832.8 days ago) Depends... How much do you need the money, how much money to you pay in gas? Do you pay more or the same amoutn than the extra money per hour?
5against1 (832.8 days ago) I`d do it just for my sanity, lol. And you will save soo much in gas, that the pay cut will even out w the money you are saving.
hunnybunnysmama (832.8 days ago) you you will make up some of the difference in gas money, it`s like 70 bucks a week or so you`ll be losing?... also if you start at a lower pay rate you could probably get a pay increase in 90 days or so? Also, will it save you in daycare money to be home a couple days during the week? I don`t work now and I was REALLY worried what life would be like without a second income but we have managed just fine. We did have to cut back on some things but our daughter has totally made up for them!
hillaryandmikesbaby (832.8 days ago) it all depends.. does hubby work? are you the main provider? Also with everything going on with Daisy it may be best for you to be with her more, even though to me ehe seems to be doing really well.. if you can afford the pay cut then it is most deff worth it in my eyes.
