rosye13 (14.9 days ago) $100 isn`t too bad. I see people on here who are paying $300 - $500 which I think is outrageous for a little kids` party. But I could see spending $100 if it`s what you want to do.
thumper (17 days ago) we have hired the church hall across the road which costs £48 for 3 hours, gives the kids plenty of space to run around and the adults mingling space
ibaheir2dathrone (17.3 days ago) It depends on your space. We have a TINY place! There are 50 people who are going to be at Sarah`s 1st b-day. (23 kids) So we rented a hall ($75.00) Having bar-b-que hamburgers and hotdogs. (going the cheap routte) :o) I have lots of games and fun ready!! (her party is tomorrow the 7th)
mdbabyno1 (17.3 days ago) I`d say since there aren`t too many kids coming just to do it at home. Maybe next year or the year after if their are pre-school friends.
t555rm (17.5 days ago) I had the same issue. My son just had his 1st bday party 2 weeks ago n we held it at home. Same thing. Only 5 kids but 20 adults. We figured the adults wouldn`t be interested in hanging out at a kids` place. The party went very well. Kids hung out together playing with balloons and catch etc while we hung out in the deck with wine, beer n lots of food.
brooklyn143 (17.6 days ago) Im having my daughters 2nd bday on the 15th of this month, it was very hard but i couldnt find a place to have it at i had alot of ppl showing and didnt feel comfortable asking to place it at someones house...i opted to pay for the smallest package at a kids place which pays for 8 kids pizza and they have games and outside attractions like mini gold n go karts...but i am also having a clown come and they do a face painting for every kid a balloon and play games and sing songs and all that...so the party is going to cost me 105 for the clown 1hr (25 dollars for driving out of town) and 80 for the hr...and the rooms i reserved are 100 dollars and its up to 40 ppl ....but it would of been cheaper to grab 5 dollar pizzas and have it at someones house but i will be spending more cuz i have to still buy seperate pizza buffett`s for the other kids after 8...we`ll see...i cant wait til school age when i can tell her grab 3-4 of your closest friends and ill take you guys out for the day dinner movie and sleepover w/snacks and games or something simple!....i had to many adults to fit at my home thats why i didnt do it there we have about 10+ kids and all my friends have SO's so its alot of X's 2...my closest friends alone have family of 5-6 ppl it adds up...
nutnut (17.6 days ago) id have it at home especially if its going to be only 4 kids there. the 100.00 could probably be put to better use for other things to do at the party. that way mom`s are comfortable as well.
MTNWOMAN (17.6 days ago) Maybe when he is a little older it would be great to go somewhere fun that he can choose, but for my son`s 1st, we actually went to a BBQ joint where they just serve platters and bowls of food family style. It was fun, away from the house (I didn`t have to prep alot), and it was more focused towards the adults since that is mostly who was there. If it snows where you live you can always take the kiddos sledding or something too!
RobinG (17.6 days ago) I`d def have it at your home ~ that is where we always have ours and it is always great ~ you can plan plenty of things at your home :)
