rosye13 (827 days ago) My first child was only 12 months when Gabi was born. I read to her while breastfeeding, sing to her, make silly faces . . . If she`s walking by I`ll catch her with my legs and kind of push her back and forth like playing with her. That helped a lot because it made breastfeeding almost a fun game for her. Now when she sees me feeding she`ll come in and sneak by looking at me out of the corner of her eye and of course I catch her and she thinks it`s sooo much fun.
juels101 (828.7 days ago) I had the same thing, though mine was older. I would take the time to read her books while I was BFing my newborn. Worked for me
Str8 As (828.7 days ago) We used to do the alphabet together or count while I am tending to the baby but was still giving my other(s) attention. I would also gave them dolls so they can act like they were caring for a baby too. This worked for me.
luvbeingamom (828.8 days ago) We always had quiet time when i was bf. I got the book goodnight moon so that we could read it together while i bf and he could search for the mouse on all the pages. It kept him busy and close but let me bf in a calm situation. I always set up on the couch with the boppy and a pile of books. :-) If my exhusband was home (husband at the time) i would have him entertain my older son while i snuck away upstiars to the baby`s room to bf there. After a few weeks he got use to it and he wouldn`t even notice when i bf. I just always made sure i had alone time after every bf session. :-) Goodl uck and congrats.
