I think it depends on the attidue of the person with the cat ;) You could have one cat and treat it liek the Queen, then yes...a crazy cat lady. Or you could have 5, but they are just cats/mousers...no craziness!

Haha, I might feel that way if a woman lived alone with only one cat if she treated it almost exactly like a human being. Dressing it, talking to it, pretending its purrs are an answer...stuff like that...not just now and then but ALL THE TIME. To me, the number of cats wouldn`t matter as much as their attitude as far as the title `crazy cat lady goes.` LOL

We have 3 and I don`t consider myself a cat lady. I like the dogs better lol

I think 2-4, and it really depends on how the person acts towards the cat. I mean, if she`s eating catfood and pooping in the litter box and she`s only got like 2 cats, it`s probably a pretty good indication she`s a `catlady`

around here... 2 to 4 is the cat lady 5 or more is the crazy cat lady ;-)

I think it depends on if you`re in the country. We usually have 8 but, they come and go. They keep the mice out. I couldn`t have more than 2 in the house. We get the strays `fixed` it`s a shame people just dump them off in the country.

LOL this is a funny question! at one point we had 8 cats. (not by choice they kept ending up in my yard =/) i didnt think of myself as a cat lady though. we found most of them homes. was like a make shift rescue. we also had two ferrits, and 4 dogs. we did live on a kennel and work there, so ppl constantly dumped strays and i just didnt have the heart to send them to the pound to get put down. so those we could adopt out we did, those we couldnt (too old too sick) stayed with us until they died naturally. we dont have anymore cats now, and we are down to only one little doggie. while im tempted to get more, i cant afford it. i think to be considered a cat lady you have to have like 15-20 cats =)))

I know it`s a really dumb question. Me and the hubby were watching a movie last night with a single woman with a cat who was looking for mr perfect and my husband asked me.
