tto (822.6 days ago) My son didn`t have it on his hands or feet either. It just hurt him a lot and took a long time to be in the clear to return to daycare. I guess they are contagious for a week or more from the outbreak. We didn`t try to brush his teeth the whole time and he hardly ate. It was rough the first night or two. He refused to take meds because of the pain. If I remember he had a sore throat too. Good luck!
nmck (823.4 days ago) Michael had it twice over the summer. Fever at first, then a couple of days for the blisters in his mouth to go away. I fed him a lot of ice cream and pudding. He did not have blisters on his hands or feet at all.
courtenay (824.3 days ago) we didnt get it, but it did go through the daycare and it usually just runs its course and then your ok. in EXTREMELY RARE cases it can lead to meningitis, so just be mindful.
adkinsrus07 (824.6 days ago) Yeah, my son jsut got over this about a month or so ago. He got it from a child at his daycare and it spread like wildfire. He would not drink anything because he lips and inside his mouth and throat hurt sooo bad- he was very fussy and I had to do my best to try to get him to drink water or milk (ya know nothing sweet or fruity- even pedialyte stung the sores) My PED said nothing to do but wait it out. Tylenol and keep them cool and hydrated. They and you will be miserable for a few days usually 2-4 days and just try to keep babe from getting dehyrdrated. It is VERY contagious. Good luck I hope ur lil one feels better.
Angel-baby (824.6 days ago) My daughter just got over it as well as my husband.. My daughter had low grade fever with sore throat and complained of sore mouth. I didn`t think anything of it until my husband got sores on his hand, legs and mouth..There is really nothing you can do. It just takes 3-5 days to go away..Just give Tylenol for discomfort. Good luck..
