i say do it and keep an eye on your toddler. My dd is 12 months old and i don`t want to deprive her of not having a tree this year. She will learn not to touch things when you keep reminding them not too. They won`t ever learn if you don`t give them opportunity for it.

I have a 12month old who is into everything... and we have a 7ft tall tree, it is huge... We definately want to set up the tree so we are putting his play pen around the tree and presents... So he can`t touch...

With our tree I`ve always put up fun ornaments that they can grab and play with at thier level and all the special ones out of reach. We also put it in the corner and made sure it was really stable so it wouldn`t fall over on them if they tried to pull it over. They loved hiding behind it, so we made sure that the plugs were put high up in the tree until night after they went to bed. I can`t wait for christmas!

u could do a tree if u already have one. i wouldnt suggest buyin a new one in these hard financial times because they probly wont notice it. but if u cant live without one, just put a baby gate around it

We will still decorate, I`ll just put anything breakable out of reach. My daughter was one last Christmas and she loved taking the ornaments off the tree so I just put all the breakable ones on the top and put the ones I don`t care as much about on the bottom. I could never not put my tree, Christmas is my favorite time of year. I`ll just have to watch her real good.

we will put up a small tree this year... and i cant wait to decorate..my son absolutely loved halloween and all the decorations... cant wait to put our tree up and see his reaction

we dont decorate the whole house. we had real trees until she got mobile. then we went to a smaller table top tree. it works out pretty good actually. weve kept it ever since. you can get a gate to put around the tree, or use a table top one harder for them to get to.
