california-mom (821.5 days ago) I research not just sites but families that have experienced what Im researching about. Im not crazy obsessive but Im educated.
canadababy (822.7 days ago) There is too much crap on the internet for me to research anything controversial. Sure, I looked up gripe water and Oval drops after they were both recommended to me by friends, but for more serious issues I only talk to her pediatrician or a public health nurse or maybe my friends that have been through it. If my DD`s pediatrician tells me something is good, call me old-fashioned, but I trust her and her medical degree.
lovemyfamily (822.7 days ago) That`s great!! It`s hard seeing your babies in pain and being torn on what to do for them. Just like this new vaccine. I was torn on whether or not to give it to her, and myself (I`m pregnant) and researched and now there is no way anyone could convince me to get it. I am really hoping this next baby doesn`t have gas so badly!! Also we switched over to Isomil a soy formula and she was 1000 times better after that. Also concentrate helps a lot!! I breastfed for 2 months but dried up because she just wouldn`t drink because it hurt too much. :( I am starting to drink soy as soon as this baby is born this time and hopefully that helps!!
shesxchaotic (822.7 days ago) Omg! Us too! He`d scream for forever! Now with the organic gripe water we give him only a quater of a teaspoon (even though 1 tsp is the amount for over 1 month) and he burps like 3 or more times within a few minutes!
lovemyfamily (822.7 days ago) I have never heard that shesx. Thanks for the tip!! We use gripe water as well, just simply to keep toxins out of her body, but that`s helpful to know!! My daughter used to get horrible gas too and we would be pumping her legs for hours lol
shesxchaotic (822.7 days ago) I research quite a bit. My son gets alot of gas bubbles after nursing so instead of Mylicon drops or mainstream gas relief meds for infants, we chose to get all natural gripe water from a natural food store. Many gas relief drops contain baking soda which can cause constipation. For us it wasn`t worth it to trade one problem for another.
Anyways, I think it`s a personal preference. :)
lovemyfamily (822.7 days ago) I do not want to start any controversy, I am just wondering how many others share the same beliefs I do.
