nmck (822.2 days ago) When doing weight watchers, I made a cake with just a box of cake mix and a can of diet soda. It was a little extra sticky, but it was tasty! Good luck. EditDelete
*Summer Babies* (822.5 days ago) I just use the amount of applesauce as if it was oil. SO if it sayd 1/3 cup oil I put that much applesauce!! EditDelete
shesxchaotic (822.5 days ago) It does work! We`ve done it a few times and it`s actually pretty good too! You can use coke too or probably any canned soda. EditDelete
Austin::and::Alexs::Momma (822.5 days ago) Luv, does he still have that issue? If so, Betty Crocker makes a Gluten Free cake mix now, its dairy free. Here are the ingredients - Rice Flour, Sugar, potato Starch, Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Xanthan Gum, Salt EditDelete
KFinTX (822.5 days ago) I use applesauce as well! And in chocolate cakes, I`ve used a can of pumpkin instead of everything else... turns out great! EditDelete
*Summer Babies* (822.5 days ago) I use applesauce in place of oil and eggs in my recipes!! EditDelete
luvbeingamom (822.6 days ago) If he is allergic to dairy you have to be VERY careful which box you choose from. My older son was allergic to dairy and he couldn`t have any of the premixed boxes off the shelf b/c they all had whey and cassinate in them. Also, i have heard of extra oil instead of eggs, if that helps at all. :-) EditDelete
RobinG (822.6 days ago) Some Tastefully Simple products often call for a can of soda or beer ~ they are amazing!!!!!!!!!!! But not sure how it works for regular stare brand box recipes but I`ll bet it is great if it can be done :) EditDelete
luvbeingamom (822.6 days ago) Oh sorry. :-) Hope it does work for you then. What are the allergies if you don`t mind me asking? EditDelete
luvbeingamom (822.6 days ago) I have never heard of that, but i have to say, if i want cake, i want it with fat! ;-) I also feel they ruined McD`s french fries when they took out the transfat! This is why moderation is good! Have the bad things for you, just not often! :-) EditDelete
