Str8 As (821.3 days ago) Fried turkey is soooooo good!! I usually season my turkey the night before-I use butter on the skin (for crisp and color) and then season the skin and cavity. Then I stuff with celery stalks, onion and other herbs and let it sit over night so all of the flavors get in the meat. Thanksgiving morning I cook uncovered for about an hour and then I cover it until the last few minutes. I don`t stuff my bird so I sit it on the dressing and it finish browning as the dressing is done. The turkey is crispy on the outside, but good and juicy on the outside! Oh if you don`t stuff the turkey with stuffing, make sure you take the celery and other `stuffings` out of the cavity before serving.
