t555rm (821.1 days ago) They say that rear facing is the safest but I changed my son to a forward facing car seat the week after he turned 1. He`s hated car rides all the 12 months of his life...and since 10m has been extremely uncomfortable in his seat, legs all scrunched up and just too big in it. It was obvious how uncomfortable he was and I couldn`t let him be that way. He`s 20lbs and in a Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 car seat and so much happier. EditDelete
sammy28 (821.1 days ago) I was going to wait till my son was 15 months but that didnt last. We switched him at 13 months..he is SOOOOOOOO much happier. He has fought us since day one in the car and that no longer happens :) EditDelete
armymom (821.1 days ago) I turned my son around right at 12 months. He was 27lbs at 12 months and I felt confident in my decision. I`ve heard of all the horror stories of forward facing but he is a much better car rider now that he can see whats going on. EditDelete
canadababy (821.1 days ago) I`m going to play it by ear...at least the 1yr/22lb mark, but we have a car seat that is rear facing until something like 35lbs, I`d have to check to be sure but it`s a high number like that. So we`ll have her rear facing for awhile still :) EditDelete
lovemyfamily (821.2 days ago) Clearly you are kidding Cheekybee. I know you of all people do your research. I am a huge advocate of keeping your LO`s rear facing until the carseats maximum capacity for several reasons. If anybody would like the information I will happily provide it for you. EditDelete
amber325 (821.2 days ago) my goal was 18 months -2 years...but liv is 13 1/2 months now and it is getting annoying she is so moody in the car...So if I have a long trip anytime soon we will switch her around...she is around 25 lbs and very tall so she will be fine either way EditDelete
