happened to my SIL twice.. she has 4 kids and 2 of them had positive results but nothing is wrong with them. I opted to never do those tests just because it`s so common to get a fake positive result.

I`ve heard of a couple friends getting an abnormal result for Downs, the Amnio came back negative though. It`s very common to get `abnormal` results and to have a healthy baby :)

I received an abnormal result from the Triple Screen with my first- it indicated that the baby may have spina bifida- after much worry and several high risk Dr visits, spina bifida was ruled out- but because they tested my further, they did find that the baby was not receiving as much blood and oxygen(causing the baby to be small), so I was monitored throughout the rest of my pregnancy. I now have a very healthy, active, big, boy!
