RobinG (818.9 days ago) It really depends on the details of the murder ~ and the age of the teen. There are some cases in which teens murder young toddlers and torture them. There was a big case not in the USA a few years back. Those teens shouldnt ever see the light of day because of the specifics of the crime. There is def a big difference between a 10 year old and 15 year old. And the history of the child ~ a child who shoots his father who abused him in cold blood shouldnt be tried as an adult. It really depends on the case. This girl shouldnt ever be out of jail ~ ever. EditDelete
canadababy (818.9 days ago) Sorry, I agree with Ladobruk. It may be a horrible crime, but I don`t think 15yr olds possess any idea of what consequences really mean. She should be assessed by a professional and given an undetermined (but long) sentence. EditDelete
babydecember (818.9 days ago) I also fully believe in the death penalty. At 15, you definately know the difference between right and wrong, and people that sadistic at 15 sure aren`t going to turn around become angels at 18 or 68...I say we should stop tip-toeing around these crazed criminals and enforce capital punishment when it`s needed. adkinsrus07 (819 days ago) This girl has serious issues and I am sorry 15 year old these days are adults- I mean look at how they act- it blows my mind- I didnt even know what sex was till I was 17 lol. The point is no matter how immature she is she is not a `juvenile` she has the mental capacity to know right from wrong- I mean murder- premeditation- hello? Fry her ass! Poor lil girl and her poor parents. EditDelete
hollysnum2 (819 days ago) I feel so sorry for the parents of the 9 year old! What they must be going through! I personally say she should be tried as an adult. This wasnt an `accident`. I saw a 15 year old get tried as an adult when they fell asleep by the pool while babysitting and the child fell in and drowned in the pool. That was an accident. This 15 year old just wanted to know what it was like???? WTH??? Electric chair! I believe in capital punishment! There is some country out there that I read about, and if you are convicted of murder, and you confess, as soon as your trial is over you get 1 hour with your family, then they take you out back, shoot you, and then charge your family the price of the bullet. Gruesome yes, but they have a very very low crime rate! EditDelete
5against1 (819 days ago) This is a statement from the defense attorney: `We are throwing away the child and we are signing a death sentence for Alyssa,` Valentine said. `She is not going to survive her time in the Cole County jail.`.....AAAND?? WHO CARES??!!! She DESERVES what she gets done to her in there. EditDelete
jenakers (819 days ago) Oh, my. I just read the whole article. She wanted to kill her because she `wanted to know what it felt like` TO BAD she didn`t want to know what being hit by a train felt like! At 15 I had a job, my own checkbook and a semiserious boyfriend. I knew EXACTLY what I was doing when I was sneaking out or ditching school. People don`t give kids enough credit. There isn`t a magic switch that gets flipped at 18. She probably thought f*@k it I`m 15 what are they going to do? Apparently cutting herself wasn`t getting her enough attention. This is going to sound horrible but, I`m angry for the little 9 year old girl, I think they should put that girl in a room w/ a variety of weapons and let her do herself in. Sorry but, WTH that kid was 9! Reminds me of that redhead kid that killed the 6 year old. EditDelete
5against1 (819 days ago) I was going to say something very similar to goldenmama. If she was 3 yrs older, i would say death penalty. That crime is not an accidental shooting. It was sick sadistic torture. If tried as a juvenile, she will be out in a few years! Can you imagine, as the parent of the deceased child, knowing that your childs life being taken away is only worth a few years in jail??!!! If there is a jail for mentally insane, then throw her a$$ in there, lock her up, and lose the key!...Maybe in 3 yrs, reasess her, and if she is still considered a threat, go for death penalty.
