athenab1984 (818.3 days ago) My little girl will be 2 in December..and still have her on the bottle =(
I attempted to take it away when she was 14 months old...but it broke my heart and she wouldn`t even attmept to drink her milk out of the sippy cup. I gave in and gave her back her bottle. I know, bad mommy. Whatever makes her happy though. I don`t mind holding off until her 2nd birthday...
(She drinks everything else out of a cup without a lid) but her milk is always in a bottle. It must be her "comfort" thing. EditDelete
ivysmomma (818.3 days ago) My daughter will be 2 at the end of december...she just stopped drinking milk out of her bottle about a month ago. she was the same way and would only drink juice from a cup, im still worried she isnt getting enough milk...i usually have to put chocolate in it and before she drank regular milk out of a bottle fine.....its hard.... nutnut (818.3 days ago) my mother told me a squirrel must have taken it. she pretended to look all over and said oh well and gave me a cup. i didnt have issues with my daughter. she was always overly interested in daddy`s cups so daddy actually taught her to drink from a straw before a year old. i just threw out the bottles and let her have straws or sippies. RobinG (818.4 days ago) Give it a bit longer ~ I know many who still had a couple bottles til 15-18 months. My sons did. Try a very soft nippled cup too ~ that will help. The sucking in some sippies is to hard. Hunter is autistic and the only sippy he would take to rid of bottle was learning curve from target or baby depot ~ here is a link ~ http://www.happyhentoys.com/y9560.html EditDelete
linzigenavieve (818.4 days ago) my daughter REFUSED to give up her bottle until she was 20 months old. She was staying with my mum while I was having a new baby and my mother couldnt find any of her bottles. If I would have known just to get rid of the bottles sooner... :) EditDelete
angie2008 (818.4 days ago) my daughter was like this too. i did a slow transition to the cup. i started with the daytime bottles and offered my dd a cup. if she drank some, i praised her a lot for it. if she refused i kept trying and would give her a bottle a while later because i want her to get the milk out. It may take several weeks but they will catch on. I heard of other moms who just go cold turkey with bottles and it gives them no choice but to drink milk out of the cup. EditDelete
LizzyB. (818.4 days ago) I want to know too! My son is 18 months and still will only drink his milk from the bottle:( My goal was to have him off at 18 months....so I need to keep on working on that. He too likes juice from the sippy cup, but not his milk.....Some say to quit cold turkey, but it`s really hard for me, especially with an 8 week old too. EditDelete
