Lou-Li-Ro (817.9 days ago) Just read the part about your son not going to sleep till after 2 am!!! Oh my god how do you cope??!?!?! I don`t feel so bad now about being disturbed once or twice during the night!!!
Lou-Li-Ro (817.9 days ago) YES!! My 18-mnth-old son is like this!!! But his twin sister ISN`T!!! It`s so frustrating, but because I had them at the same time and they therefore have gotten EXACTLY the same treatment and care and teaching since they were born, I know it`s not my fault!! He is just a typical boy; rowdy, rough-and-tumble, quite short-tempered, and acts out if he doesn`t get his way. I think it`s pretty normal. Also, my son is teething at the moment so that makes it worse. Could your son be teething too? It makes them so frustrated. I feel your pain!!! heheh
jadestar (818.2 days ago) Carolinababy1. You are the first person on this site who doesn`t go down somebody`s throat for tellin you about `Dr Phil.` Hehehe, this tells me u must be a highly intelligent person who doesn`t get strung up by cold pumpkin, like some people on this site do. I can just hear some mothers on this site go, `who she to tell me my cute boy gonna be on Dr Phil and stuff.` `That B.itch hatin on me`. `Moderator, check that ho out, she might be a fraud!` LOL! Your mellow reaction also tell me that you are secure in yourself as a parent, that you believe in yourself as a parent and therefore have no fear that your kid will act out unfavorably. That`s great. Now i hope you have a lovely day. May you son pop all the chairs in the world, hehehe, because i think you`re a good mommy. I`m adding u to my friendsnetwork. U can accept if u like ;-)
CAROLINABABY1 (818.5 days ago) Popping my child doesn`t seem to be working. I don`t want to hurt him too bad but he doesn`t seem fazed when me or his daddy pop him. But I`m trying to nip this in the bad now so I don`t end up killin him-just a figure of speech in my world so please don`t go crazy. But yeah, we will definitely NOT be on Dr. Phil, lol. My son also won`t go to sleep til after 2am. He will walk around making this crazy noise for what seems like hours, lol. I lay him down and he wiggles and turns and then sneaks back off the couch. I just let him tire himself out so that my damn blood pressure won`t go up
jadestar (818.6 days ago) `LOL` all u want, LOL. Not gonna be so funny when u drag your 13 yr old to Dr Phil because he or she beats u up, broke your arm or busted your lip. I watched Dr Phil the other day and guess what the show was about? And all the parents say their kids started this abusive behavior towards them when they where still in daipers. My daughter hit me back a few times, i then take her hand and give her a nice, firm smack on it making sure it burns like hell. She never hit me again. What she then do is take her bottle and throw it, what i then do is pick up the bottle and say, `Fine, you are not getting it back, because you don`t take care of it.` She then goes crazy because her bottle is her everything. She then takes the bottle from my hand, gently puts it back on the floor, then she says with a cute smile,`mommy, look, bottie up.` Then she carefully picks it up. Now when she gets angry she doesn`t throw things anymore, she doesn`t hit me, she just stands there screaming, shouting, stamping her feet, whilst i try to comfort her by keep my open for her to fall into. Most of the time she runs straight into my arms after the tantrum and hugs me or lay in my arms like when she was a baby. I allow her to have that tantrum in one place because she obviously must have a way to express her anger and rant out the surge of emotion, but hitting me and throwing things is around is not going to be one of them. But then again, your children are 14 months old, maybe that`s too young to start dicciplining them on behavior like that. I started doing the above since 16 months. Took a month or so for her to take on what i was teaching her. The important thing is not to laugh when they act out, because although it can be cute sometimes when they do it at home it might not have the same effect in a public place. And as u can see, those parents on Dr Phil don`t think it`s cute anymore now that her 13 year old daughter broke her arm by hitting her with a firewood log because she said she was too young to accompany a boy to prom.Other things that i worry about with Jade is that she doesn`t go down until the fat lady sings. I can put her to bed, but as soon as i get up she jumps up, even in the middle of the night and follows me around the house! It really irritates and me, i`m trying to find a way to get her off that. Goodluck ladiez. Mwah!
larasmommy (818.6 days ago) my daughter just started doing something similar recently. She hits me if I ask not to do something. It`s weird because she only does it to me. She is 14 months too by the way.
CAROLINABABY1 (818.6 days ago) He tried to throw his porcelain piggy bank down the stairs the other day. That`s one of his hobbies; throwing stuff down the stairs, lol. He pops me when I tell him no or to stop doing something. I wasn`t a bad child so why am I being punished, lol
