DD slept in her moses basket till she was 3mths. For the last mth we placed the basket in the cot so that she got used to the height before we put her in the cot. She slept in our room till 2wks ago. Didnt want to move into her own room till she was sleeping throught the night. She`s 14mths now and actually sleeps better in her room we have the baby monitor on high so that we hear her and DH is now the one to get up to see to her if she does cry/moan!

our son was in a moses basket until 1 months then in his crib in our room. we moved him into his own room at 6 months. he sleeps all night and he is now 1

My daughter slept in her bassinet in our room till about 3 months, then in the basinette attachment in her pack`n`play until 6 months, then I moved her to her crib in her own room. You are so not crazy, having your baby in the room with you until at least 6 months is actually a SIDS preventative too!

my daughter actually slept in the living room for almost 4 months... :) My house is tiny so she was really close to our bedroom. She WOULD NOT sleep in her bassinet in her room nor did she like being in our room. However... once I got her crib she LOVED it and slept in her crib in her room with no problems...her room is right next to ours and I still used a monitor too. It was a big change but she now loves her bed goes to sleep without a single squawk or protest for nite nite and naps.

My sons crib is still in here and he`s 10 months. At first it was b/c I just couldn`t bear my little baby in another room (never could). Now its mostly for convienince, lol. I`ve always had my babies in my room, if not in my bed, until at LEAST 1yo.
