christina76 (816.3 days ago) I had several family members in the waiting room, while I had a c-section. EditDelete
CAROLINABABY1 (816.3 days ago) Whew! My fiance was there, his parents were there, 3 of my 4 sisters and my younger brother came, a friend of my sister`s came and my dad and step mom made it right when I was delivering. I didn`t mind everybody in the room while I was laboring. Kind of a distraction since I had no meds except for some mess that was suppose to distract me from the pain that didn`t really do anything but make me feel high or sleepy. And it went so fast that nothing really mattered. My fiance and his mom were in the room for the delivery while everyone else waited EditDelete
smiling politely (816.4 days ago) NO!! i would not want anyone but my husband there-even waiting outside. i just think its a private thing between the parents of the child. i do know people though, who hate the thought of their mother not being there. i gesss its an individual thing.

SPUDinTHEoven (Tina) (816.5 days ago) I had my baby 3 weeks ago, and the hospital wasn`t allowing anyone even in the waiting room, other than my parents and DH parents. No sisters, aunts, nothing. It was pretty lame I thought, but I understand that they just didn`t want to increase risk of spreading swine flu to the newborns. EditDelete
megandgrace (816.5 days ago) I had a lot of family there for me and most were in the room up until i had to push. I wouldn`t have it any other way, i needed them all there because i am a single mom and needed their support through it all. Plus we are a very close family and support each other through things like this. EditDelete
Amalthea (816.5 days ago) I had a C Section.. so only my dh was allowed in the OR... but my mom, mil, bil, and a few friends were there waiting to see my son as he went to the nursery... so i all there was like 5 to 6 people waiting EditDelete
linzigenavieve (816.5 days ago) I`ve always only wanted my husband there with me. With my first my husband and mother were in the room and my MIL was out in the hall. With the second my family was in the hall but only because they had to pick up my oldest. With my third, it was just me and my husband (so nice!). EditDelete
t555rm (816.5 days ago) My mom waited in the lobby when it was time to push, she was with me until then. Dad left once my contractions started picking up. He was getting nervous lol. DH stayed with me thru out of course. EditDelete
mommykate (816.5 days ago) I had family members who wanted to be in the waiting room and I put my foot down and said absolutely not. I needed my privacy and peace. I had only my mom and dh in the delivery with me, no one else at hospital. To me it would have felt the same as having people wait outside the bathroom door while you were constipated and trying to go, haha. Birth is bveautiful, and I had a great labour, but it is not a spectator sport! EditDelete
brendalee (816.6 days ago) We`re stationed 1200 miles away from home, but if we had been home they all would have been at the hospital annoying the crap out of me lol EditDelete
yorkc39 (816.6 days ago) I husband, mom, and my sister were able to be there, and my friends came even though they had class the next morning! They kept saying they would leave but they didnt, such good friends, waiting for me EditDelete
lovemyfamily (816.7 days ago) My So, my Mom and his parents were the only ones we even told she was born until we got home 3 days afterwards. I wanted my privacy and we wanted our time alone with our little girl. EditDelete
