Str8 As (815.4 days ago) I can`t remember, but didn`t you just have a poll about your daughter crying when getting dropped off at the day care? If so, PULL HER OUT OF THERE!! The provider is suppose to keep a log of incidents and report to you if something happens. Some daycares go as far as to call you immediatly if something happens. There is no way I would leave my child there another day! EditDelete
nmck (815.5 days ago) Also, when you could identify all of the bruises your child received in your care, was she younger and less mobile? EditDelete
nmck (815.5 days ago) My son goes to my moms, so I know I am lucky, and can afford to be laid back and really trust the care he is getting there. But he does get bruised up legs from things like crawling over blocks, crawling on metal playground equipment, cruising furniture and slipping, playing around cousins that are the same age and might whack him with a toy, crawling under the coffee table and then trying to stand up and knocking his head....He even had 2 bruises on his forhead for one of his well check ups and the doctor said, `Oh, I cn see he is pulling up to furniture now!` It is common for babies to have little bumps and bruises as they learn to explore their world. My mom does tell me if my son has a decent fall/accident. BUT, if you feel uncomfortable with the care provider, you might want to look around for another. Maybe you would feel more comfortable if your child was in a situation with multiple care providers. EditDelete
Aiona (815.7 days ago) 7 little cuts on her head? Holey moley! Pull her out of there! EditDelete
love.nora (816 days ago) All the places I have been to hand you a accident report even if it is for a scrape. People are sue happy now adays and its best so they cannot be held responsible other things that it may lead up to. EditDelete
Holly28 (816 days ago) I and the program director for a preschool program for 2yr olds and it is expected that we tell the parents of anything that has happened whether it leaves a bruise etc or not. EditDelete
RobinG (816.1 days ago) Really depends ~ if your LO is a toddler they can bump into many things. Sometimes it isnt seen or the bruise doesnt show up til hours later. Ask them if they recall how your LO got the bruised, bump and see how they respond. Sadly its a part of toddlerhood. I loose count of the ones my kids get just from playing ~ If your baby is not even crawling yet I`d be concerned for sure ~ EditDelete
linzigenavieve (816.1 days ago) It would depend on where the bruises were and how often it happens. Also on how the daycare providers react when asked about it. EditDelete
mrsjmickens1 (816.2 days ago) i think it would depend where its at.......face or head! definately...knees,elbows...dont think i need to know unless it requires medical attention. i would wanna know about bites from other kids too EditDelete
bluejeans (816.2 days ago) This just happened to my son I noticed he had a small bruise near his eye. He told me another child pushed him over. The preschool didnt tell me but when I asked it was because they didnt know. But they would keep a closer eye on him. If they had seen it I would have expected them to tell me about it. EditDelete
