My inlaws all live pretty close to eachother...cept us mind you. They always get together and do a huge pot luck. I loved it cause some ppl had things they made every year that I could expect and LOVE to eat :D

For the most part we have always spent thanksgiving with my husbands family, since that was the only time his dad would come up. For Christmas, we usually spend christmas eve with my hubbys side, christmas day to ourselves, and the day after with my family. That`s changing this year though. I`m done having crappy holidays with his family.

My family is all over the place so we always spend Xmas with my DH`s family and I love it! My family is really small and really uptight, I never really had a good time at family gatherings, but my DH`s is big and loud and love being with eachother :)

its to stressful so we just stay home and then after we are done may go to grandmas

We stay at home for the holidays. We used run around and visit his side and mine. It got to be too much and everyone would be mad because they felt we spent more time with one family and not the other. I hated it! Then we tried to have everyone over at our place...yeah, that will NEVER happen again. So now, his dad comes and sometimes my mother comes, but we stay put! Now I am happy! :-)

This year I wont be home for Thanksgiving and all my aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, and nieces will be at my grandparents. I miss home!
