Thanks so much ladies, I went with a *La baby* I am on a waiting list for the *Middleton* doll but if it doesnt come in time she will get this one i just bought!

my dd is 12 months and has a doll that you press her tummy and she makes different noises and says things. she doesn`t play with it much but when she does all she does is press the button on her tummy. i would go with a cheap doll from walmart or somewhere similar.

My daughter received a `La Baby` from her Auntie for her 2nd Christmas, she was about 15 months. She is now over 2 and JUST showing an interest. I think the baby doll was too large - I could actually dress it in some of her newborn clothes. I think they make smaller ones tho... she also has a cheap baby doll with a bottle that she loves to take to bed with her and feed it the bottle. The other day she says `want some milk? is that good?` it was pretty cute.

For my daughters first birthday we got her a Tidoo doll. I love it. It is small enough for her to handle well. Plus she can go in the bath!!!!
