bellajenna (814.4 days ago) is the mother hurt? that kind of beating surly messed up something
MercyMe (814.5 days ago) That is sad..I looked at the news story to verify...and they said that the doc said the baby was deceased the day before. I DAMN sure would not go through labor with a baby that large, knowing what the end already was. It is our duty as moms/husbands to make our demands known. And, I have a friend that had a stillborn in her 2ed trimester, and his head was damaged from delivery and the way the pulled him out, but nothing like that. Those poor parents are going to have to deal with YEARS of trauma...Other country`s have different health care practices, but that is just rediculus..make`s me very afraid of what the government is doing to us here now...Prayers for healing to that family...I can`t even imgaine the pain...
bellajenna (814.5 days ago) o what ever my brother was 11 something lbs and lived i dont think ne onw would blame them if the parents just flipped out i sware i would punch that doc.
nutnut (814.5 days ago) All I can say is wow, such a tragedy. please send my sympathies to the family. i cant believe what i just read. hopefully they will sue the dr. and hospital staff and all those people will loose their licenses to pratice any form of medicine. so horrifying.
andriette and christians mummy liz (814.5 days ago) Oh and now they say she must understand the baby was too big to survive, load of shit! And forgive them,no way should those two words be in their vocabulary!
andriette and christians mummy liz (814.5 days ago) I didnt even know there was an article, thanx summerisis, ill go check it out. This woman is crying so much,my friend and i cant believe this has happened. And sad thing is this wasnt even on the news tonite,im sensing a cover up.I hate this country!
Thanx for all the best wishes,i will let her read this:-)
*Summer Babies* (814.5 days ago) I am so sorry. It made me cry.. That is disgusting. The couple should sue that doctor. Not that any type of money will bring the baby back but maybe he will loose his lisence or something.. I am terribly sorry
KR (814.6 days ago) I just read the article.. im disgusted. If it was that much work to get the baby out to the point where the medical team is sitting on her there is NO way they should have over looked a c section.
Str8 As (814.6 days ago) I am soooo sorry this happened! No one should ever have to experience this!
KR (814.6 days ago) I agree, its the worst thing i have herd. I think sometimes things happen in labor and delivery that make everything feel so crazy, sometimes mistakes happen. He may have said her ob was out of town and truly believed he was. He may have had the wrong file and believed strongly that she needed to be induced. we trust doctors because they are entrusted with one of the most important things, Our lives. We should also trust our gut feeling though as well. If she was induced and contracting and dilating then we all know how she felt (for those of us who have already given birth) and thats scary and painful in its own. Kind of hard to stand up and walk out at that point.. so then your left to trust the doctor and hope he takes care of you and your Lo the best he can. When she started to crown and the baby was on its way she couldn`t walk off the table and give herself a c section, so if he was saying no it was very much his fault.. Many things went wrong here, the heart beat should have been monitored, and after making the attempt to deliver vaginally they should have went to the O.R He didnt follow procedure im sure and hes licence should be taken away.
andriette and christians mummy liz (814.6 days ago) I know cheeky,i dont have all the info, will see on news tonite if its on,otherwise ill talk to her and ask exactly what happened. It sounds like this ob said the other ob had instructed him to do the induction but offcourse was lying,so the woman thought ok if my ob gave the ok.This story has alot of holes in,but realy who deserves theyre baby all stitched up.Ughhh pathetic
Meela (814.6 days ago) OMG... that is all I can say. I am so sorry for your friend and for her family. OMG.. omg.. omg.
5against1 (814.6 days ago) Unfortunately we r taught to trust doctors since we are putting our lives in their hands. And alot of ppl are very intimidated by them. So much so that they do not stick up for themselves. Then tragedies like this happen... This doctor sounds insane and she should make sure he never practices medicine again.
andriette and christians mummy liz (814.6 days ago) Fighting the goverment is near impossible.Bella i know, she said she did protest against the induction but thought hey hes a doctor he knows best. The original ob determined it wouldve near imposible to deliver natualy coz she had ver small pelvis and baby was a `floater`.Goverment hospitals here,u get diffrent docs and she was told her original ob was out of town, they lied.
brendalee (814.6 days ago) That is so sad. Here at the military hospital I gave birth at the read someone`s file wrong and amputated the wrong leg on a man, sad part is he can`t even get compensation or file lawsuit or anything because it`s government.
bellajenna (814.6 days ago) I think its both the parent and obs bad choices, once she found out her doc wasnt there she could have waited and called or something, and not let them induce, they needed to take charge of her own medical care to prevent mistakes like this. I dont know why people always assume doc are right, but he was in the wrong and should be sued. also I think it was alot more than the baby being big b/c most women can have babys that big so even with an atemp vag they should have seen long before that the heart rate was going down and should have taken her in then for a c they need to get a layer. When i had my daughter they messed up my blood work and tried to tell me all these things and i was like you didnt even take my blood they said yes its here i said i would have a band on that says you did so we fought with them and my husband go kicked out and wasnt their to see his daughter born b/c he told them he was going the beat the hell out of them unless they got someone in that knew what they were doing. but we both agree it was worth mine and her safety for him fighting for us and not being able to be their. My heart goes out to them. keep us up dated.
babydecember (814.6 days ago) I agree, this is one of the most tragic things that can happen, and could have been prevented. I would fight to get that OB doctor`s licence stripped permanently. That`s truly truly sad.
DiandClover (814.6 days ago) Oh my goodness! That is the worst case of gross misconduct and malpractice I have ever heard! She needs to speak to a lawyer - this is not about money, but about having that doctor`s ability to practice revoked! I am so sorry to hear this tragic story.
jenakers (814.6 days ago) What is the question? I don`t get it.
andriette and christians mummy liz (814.6 days ago) One of my friends friends was pregnant and her original ob said baby is at least 4.7 kilos(I think its bout 11 lbs or something) and he scheduled her for c section. She went to the hospital on the day ob said but her original ob wasnt there, they got her file and another ob handled her,he took her to l&d and started induction, she said but her original ob booked her for c section coz baby big,he ignored her,she got to 10cm and needed to push she couldt, baby was way too big,so he and other nurses started pressing, laying, pulling
on her tummy(and used forceps very violently) and doc said she must push or baby will die,she couldt and then original ob came in in a rush said hey she must have a c section and they took her in operating room, when she wanted too see baby after this all of this they broke the news and said baby has died, she asked to hold baby and she was horrified when she saw baby, all the limbs including head was stitched back on the body.theyre saying its coz the other ob read the file wrong and did induction, very frustrated he poked layed pressed hard on her tum to get baby out and used forceps too, nurses said he pulled so hard on that little head the head just snapped off,i was like omg wtf.He says the baby had passed long before labour but the nurses said that baby moved during cervical checks and mother also says the same. This happened at a goverment hospital, reason why we happily fork out alot of money for private medical aid. This will be on the news tonite i think,my friend just told me.What do u think should happen in this case and what is my friends friend rights? She has already gone to the media but they are so traumitized they dunno what to do.I dont have all the info, ill know more tonite, just realy horrifies me and scares me,this country is getting out of hand.:-(
