linzigenavieve (814.6 days ago) It could honestly be any number of things. She could be getting teeth, having growing pains, etc.. It`s really normal for kids to have these phases. My 2 year old has been waking up and climbing into bed with us the last 2 weeks. I`ve got reasons down to growing pains (she gets them really badly) and the fact that we are expecting another little monster any day now. I`m just trying to be as patient and supportive as I can. Being a mummy really is hard sometimes. lol :) Good luck!
angie2008 (814.6 days ago) what would happen if you let her cry it out? When she wakes up is she screaming? Mabye she is doing it because she knows you will come in there and comfort her ect. How long has she been doing this?
mdbabyno1 (814.6 days ago) Thanks! I will try to get her to eat something else before bed. It has gotten me thinking and I actually feel like her afternoon snack makes her not that hungry for dinner(it seems like that is her smallest meal of the day recently). Lately she isn`t wanting her dinner, so maybe I`ll just give her a real small afternoon snack in hope that she will eat more for dinner.
SAHM-with-children (814.7 days ago) a lot of children go through a phase in their life and it sounds natural to me, my son did the same thing for a while and then stopped and then he started it back up again for a little again and now he sleeps all night through again....try not letting her nap so long and give her more activity like a walk or something before bed, that helped my son I would take him to a park or for a walk and that helped out a lot with him he would sleep all night long, sometimes they have so much energy that they are kinda like the sims you know as I call it, they only need a required amount of sleep until the automatically wake up and then need to burn it down with doing things....
RobinG (814.7 days ago) I would reexamine her food intake ~ it is growth spurt time and she may not be eating enough of a healthy snack in the evening ~
tto (814.7 days ago) I have a 16 month old too. We always give him two dinners. One at 5-6 oclock and then about a 1/2+ of cereal minutes before bed. If she isn`t going back to sleep something must be wrong. If it isn`t an ear infection, it could be hunger. That would happen night after night.
