pick a different name together... you should pick together regardless if it`s a boy or a girl. we picked together and I`m happy buz this way, we both had a say and we were both pleased with it .

I will still have to disagree that theree is a perfect name for everyone...especially the fact that as soon as you see it, not everyone knows it`s THE name. I`m not trying to say that you didn`t know because you very well could have but that is not true for everyone, and that is awsome that you and your partner did! So for a mom that just can`t seem to find THE name...she might get really anxious about it and that can be really hard when pregnant.

I guess I should have added that I do like the name he picked, hes a good name picker. I just dont want everyone to get pissed off and think we copied. lol

First of all you can totally VETO, and I` don`t agree with you will both know when you see the perfect name!! Boy names are totally hard to come up with and you don`t want your child to have the same name as others in your class!! I know I was Amanda V. and there were three Amanda`s in my class and I HATED it!!!!

I think the moms and dad should both get the power of veto. I would hate to have a kid whose name I did not like!! And I would hate my husband to have to deal with that too.

I think that it should be a decision you make together. I let my bf choose the name but overall women have more say. I mean we are the ones who have to be in labor for hours. Ask him if he likes another name you guys both like.

I say that your not being fair. You two decided who would name the genders now let him do it. How would you feel if he vetoed your name? Who cares how many people named their kids the same name? If he loves that name let him do it.

OMG Armymom! My SO LOVES those names hahaha and has amost once even convinced me on Leonidas! hahahaha.I would say it`s a bad deal and you should both agree, we tried to do that to just end the arguing but we both hated the names the other person picked. lol

I think that was a stupid deal to make cause in my case my husband would have named our son Leonidous or Hurcules! lol.. never let the man have full control over name choosing. Take back the deal now! lol

If you like the name I say go for it ~ there is nothing that says you cant use a name others used. They will get over it :) If you dont care for the name I say tell hubby to pick another one. We opted to choose names together because I`d hate to have my child with a name I didnt like and visa versa ~ whats the name??

I would say that as this child`s mother, you have power of veto. He can choose the name, but you have to agree with it.
