Aiona (787.7 days ago) I`ve been on the fenugreek to increase production, and it causes, among the expected mild increase in milk, gas and looser-than-normal stools. :P Sorry, if that`s too much information. . . .
Peachy09 (Ashlyn) (794.7 days ago) I had to take 2 docusate (colace) a day when last preggo. It doesn`t make you go, but it will be more comfortable when you do & may take a day or two to work through your system. When I knew it had been too long I would take a senna, but tried to minimize that cuz some drs dont like you taking that. I`m 2 months pp & still take the docusate & a senna every 3rd day or so which seems to keep everything moving just enough to not be seriously uncomfortable.
magadociousrex (795.3 days ago) Chipotle burritos. I`m currently pregnant and was having constipation SO bad that I didn`t poo for almost 2 weeks. I felt SO uncomfortable, tried Metmucil, stool softeners, more fiber EVERYTHING. And then I tried eating a burrito from there, no rice, and i`m telling you, within 20 minutes to an HOUR the `machinery` starts working. Everything comes out nice and not painful too. Sorry if thats TMI.
babydecember (795.5 days ago) A handful of prunes a day helps me :)
Str8 As (795.6 days ago) you can take stool softners while breast feeding, but don`t expect to go right away. I ate cashews and other food that makes me go, hopefully you can go soon. Congrats on your new baby :-)
shesxchaotic (795.6 days ago) Right after I gave birth, the nurse gave me Colace but it`s a stool softener so I`m not sure it`d actually help you go. Maybe you can use a glycerin suppository? I`d ask your provider what would be safest. I do know that even more natural laxatives like mineral or castor oil can be passed to the baby through your breastmilk. Sorry I couldn`t be more help!!
