christina76 (793.5 days ago) I only do it before the first use. Other than that I just use hot soapy water, besides once they are left out on a rack or where ever to dry, then they are technically no longer sterile.
kinta (794 days ago) I`m still sterilizing all my DD bottles, not her spoons or cuttlery or anything, just her bottles. I think its mainly out of habit since it`s something i just do every night! The health nurse told me to always sterilize bottles up until your child turns 1 year. So maybe try just doing it every 2nd night? and trying on a paper towel or something. Im wondering what I`m going to do aswell, i told myself id do it every 2nd night...but im still doing it every night haha, just feels strange not doing it :P
amber325 (794.3 days ago) I use drop in`s now...but when I pumped I only sterilized when I first bought the bottle.
babydecember (794.3 days ago) I wouldn`t worry about sterilization. I think there`s such a thing as too sanitary - some germs are good to help develop an immune system. I`d just wash them like normal.
JMendez (794.3 days ago) I never sterilized, only after first purchased, but I say do whatever is easy for you =)
military~mommy (794.4 days ago) I never sterilised, my daughter`s doctor told us it was not necessary unless your baby was premature or had other issues.
jessberr31 (794.4 days ago) I never sterilized with any of my lo`s. The ped said that is no longer nessasary. But I say do whatever you think works best for you!
debsandgrace (794.4 days ago) I too still sterilise DD is 14mo. I will continue till she no longer uses bottles not because im a germ freak or anything just so much easier and it a habit i cannot break.
domsmom2009 (794.4 days ago) I sterilized the day I bought them and then maybe once a month/2 months(just to kinda get the smell out and give them a good clean) but thats it.
jas1987 (794.5 days ago) I have a 13 month old and am still sterilizing and i will keep doing it till he is no longer on bottles... He has 4 bottles a day... I have an avent IQ sterilizer and it holds everything for up to 6 hours or it continues to sterilize depending what setting i put it on... It is a life saver...
maddoxandaverysmama (794.5 days ago) I`ve never sterilized... we just keep enough to use it through one day and they get washed daily, it really goes quickly...
bellajenna (794.5 days ago) if its easy i say keep doing it i have one like you and i use it, expc with flu season. But i agree with the others its not a must.
amandad74 (794.5 days ago) I`ve honestly never bothered with sterilising either, I just wash the bottles in very hot soapy water with a capful of milten added and rinse well and let them dry on the rack. I keep his bottles in an open plastic tub in the cupboard once they are completely dry. I`ve never had any problems with this:)
RobinG (794.5 days ago) Only did the day I bought them, never did again. I washed in hot soapy water and let them dry on the counter on bottle rack. I put in cubbard once dry. Once dry I put them together and placed in cubbard. Clean bottles dont get moldy. They never really sat long enough anyhow til I needed them again :)
