Notepad. My husband and I write a lot of things down on notepads as reminders to ourselves, so it would be useful. We have way too many pens as it is, so I wouldn`t want that. The magnet would be cool if it`s one that looks pretty or is funny in some way; I`d be more likely to keep it on my fridge that way. I wouldn`t mind a calendar, but I really don`t need one, so I`m not sure I would use it. Hope this helps! :)

I liked it too until she made me do half the stapling! but seriously, it`s cheaper, no waste, but the customer still has contact info and a snack.

I teach about waste reduction/recycling in my job, so I would say try to give away the item that will be used the most. I personally don`t like business magnets on my refrigerator. I would just throw it away...or have my kids refinish it with one of their own. We have had a great response when we give out re-usable grocery bags or anything edible. Honestly, a lot of those other types of promotional items end up in landfills because people take them because they are free, but never end up actually using them. What type of business do you have?
