We got our son a blue potty (play school) with the white crown on the back. It was around $25 Things that I like about it are: the guard is really scooped out, like cup shaped, the shallower guards tend to splatter the pee. The ring that he sits on also lifts off and can fit over the big potty, the lid closes to a stool so, he can use the big potty with the stool later. Last the inside pan lifts out for easy cleaning. I have a few other potties at inlaws but, nothing is as easy as this. It also had a sound feature. I never put batteries in it so, that wasn`t an issue.

We got our 16 month old a potty that makes sounds and such but he could care less about it, so when he was 18 months we got him an Elmo potty, since he loves Elmo he used it, he was potty trained at 19 months, he just turned two on the 19th of this month and still is doing great and now we can sit hin on the big potty and he will go too... so its all in the training... if he likes elmo try that one... but anyone should do... just always ask him if he needs to go potty and just sit him on it to have him try...
